Singles Chartifacts: 

#1: Ariana Grande ‘Thank U, Next’ – Ariana Grande’s ‘Thank U, Next’ notches up a third week at #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart. The track has also spent three weeks at the top the charts in the UK, US and Canada.

#3: George Ezra ‘Shotgun’ – After his performance at the 2018 ARIA Awards, British singer-songwriter George Ezra moves back up the chart one spot to #3 with former #1 ‘Shotgun’.

#8: Rita Ora ‘Let You Love Me’ – Also appearing at the ARIAs on Wednesday, Rita Ora moves up four spots to #8 with ‘Let You Love Me’. It’s her fourth Top Ten entry and the first since ‘I Will Never Let You Down’ (#5 Apr. ’14).

#13: Ava Max ‘Sweet But Psycho’ – American Ava Max leaps up the chart nine places to hit a new peak at #13 with ‘Sweet But Psycho’ It’s the single’s fifth week in the Top 50.

#23: Billie Eilish ‘Come Out And Play’ (Debut) – A month on from debuting with ‘When The Party’s Over’ (#10 Nov. ’18), Billie Eilish scores another new entry on the ARIA Singles Chart with ‘Come Out And Play’. It’s the American songwriter’s fourth single to chart in the Top 50 in 2018, having also previously charted with ‘Lovely’ (#5 Jul. ’18) and ‘You Should See Me In A Crown’ (#47 Aug. ’18).

#1: Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper ‘A Star Is Born’ – Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s soundtrack to A Star Is Born holds #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart for a sixth straight week.

#7: Missy Higgins ‘The Special Ones’ (Debut) – Missy Higgins picks up a sixth Top Ten album with The Special Ones. The career retrospective features tracks from across Higgins’ first five albums, including the #1 singles ‘Scar’ (#1 Aug. ’04) and ‘Steer’ (#1 Apr. ’07), as well as Top Ten hits ‘The Special Two’ (#2 Apr. ’05) and ‘Where I Stood’ (#10 Aug. ’07). Missy Higgins has topped the ARIA Albums Chart with The Sound Of White (#1 Sept. ’04), On A Clear Night (#1 May ’07) and The Ol’ Razzle Dazzle (#1 Jun. ’12). Earlier in the year, she released her fifth studio album, Solastalgia (#3 May ’18).

#9: Michael Bublé ‘Christmas’ – Michael Bublé’s perennially popular album Christmas returns to the Top Ten for a 48th week. Since 2011, it has spent a total of eleven weeks at #1.

#12: Amy Shark ‘Love Monster’ – Gold Coast singer-songwriter Amy Shark was the big winner at the 2018 ARIA Awards, taking out four categories including Album Of The Year with her debut album, Love Monster. The former #1 has this week jumped up 13 spots to #12.

#15: Rita Ora ‘Phoenix’ (Debut) – British artist Rita Ora releases Phoenix, her first album in six years. The follow-up to Ora (#24 Sept. ’12) includes the tracks ‘Your Song’ (#12 Jul. ’17), ‘Anywhere’ (#14 Dec. ’17), ‘For You (Fifty Shades Freed)’ (#15 Feb. ’18) and current single ‘Let You Love Me’ (#8 Dec. ’18). Collaborators on Phoenix include the late Avicii, Liam Payne, Rudimental, Charli XCX, Cardi B and more.
