Belfast native singer-songwriter, Naomi Hamilton aka Jealous Of The Birds has developed a unique style, completely her own. Equal parts autobiographical and whimsical, today sees the release of her latest EP WISDOM TEETH, out via Canvasback Music (US), and Hand In Hive (UK & Europe).
.
Between navigating one’s inner and outer worlds, to celebrating femininity and female sensuality in a way that’s self-reflective, and the exploration of courtship and falling in love, WISDOM TEETH was recorded and produced with Declan Legge between two studios, Take Six and Big Space Studios in Newry, Northern Ireland.
The lead track, and the first single from the EP, “ Marrow ” received extensive support from Australia’s double j, as well as the UK’s BBC 6 Music. Featured on the Sirius XMU Download 15 on the week of release. The 5 track EP follows the 2018 successful summer EP THE MOTHS OF WHAT I WANT WILL EAT ME IN MY SLEEP, which featured the singles “Plastic Skeletons ” and “Russian Doll”, the former being featured on NPR’s ‘All Songs Considered’, XPN ’s ‘Gotta Hear Song Of The Week’ and BBC Radio 1’s ‘Tune Of The Week’.
Hamilton released her first EP CAPRICORN while studying English and Creative Writing at Queen’s University in Belfast. Then following the release of her next venture PARMA VIOLETS, came a serendipitous SXSW performance that same year that ultimately led to the connection with Canvasback Music. Much of her lyrics come from personal notebooks of poetry or grow out of literary references from her reading collection.
WISDOM TEETH is available from all digital platforms now!

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
