With final preparations for the 7th annual Party in the Paddock now in full swing, we’re back with all the info you need to maximise your PITP good times whilst also being kind to our pristine Tassie environment and yourselves!
PITP organisers are stoked to relay that all Weekend Festival Tickets, Camping Passes and VIP Passes are now sold out!
With #7000paddockpals currently on their way to PITP, for the first time ever, Party in the Paddock are releasing an extra and final 500 Day Tickets, expanding the size of this boutique beauty to a record 7500 punters in the Paddock!
If you purchase a Day Ticket for Friday or Saturday, you’ll also have the option to add on the Thursday Pre Party. Day Parking and Bus Passes are still available for all three days, so book yourself some lush digs in Launie and let the PITP express take you to and from the festy (it’s only a sneaky 25min!). You’ll want to jump on it soon though as they won’t last long.
Keep The Paddock Pristine
Tassie has some of the most pristine wilderness in the world and we are lucky to hold our event in a truly stunning location. Our picture perfect island and Paddock deserves all the love and respect we can give it. Here’s what you can do to help…
#BYOBottle Say no to single-use plastic! Plastic bottles of water will not be available for purchase at the Paddock, so remember to bring a reusable drink bottle OR purchase a new PITP merch bottle and refill it at the free water stations on site.
Don’t litter! With so many bins on site, it’s really not hard to tick this box. All waste needs to be sorted into organics, mixed recycling or landfill. Stations will be located throughout the festival, so take a second to make sure it ends up in the right place. Remember, put ya tin in the recycling bin!
Reusable Cups. We’re teaming up with Bettercup to save around 26 000 single-use cups. When you first purchase a drink, grab a reusable cup for a $5 deposit. Each time you head to the bar, swap it out for a clean one. At the end of the festival you can either keep your sexy PITP cup or return it at any bar to get your deposit back.
Trade your trash for Paddock Cash at the Recycle Centre. Fill a bag with sorted recycling OR compostables and drop it off at the Recycle Centre (via Vibestown) and be rewarded with prizes like cash for beers/food, merch and more.
We don’t want your f#*cking tent! The paddock is a working farm, not a tip. Leaving your tent behind is wasteful, unnecessary and its really shitty behaviour. Bring a quality tent and take it home with you – or pack it up and drop it off at one of the Tent Amnesties in the camping area.
Carpool. Grab your mates, offer up your spare seat or grab a lift to reduce our carbon footprint. Head to the PITP Carpool event page on Facebook to organise your ride!
This year we’re also excited to announce that all of our food vendors are on board with our sustainability mission. All food and drink packaging and utensils onsite will be 100% certified compostable and can go in the organics bins around the festival site.
Party Safe
In light of the tragic drug related deaths that have occurred at festivals around the country this summer, we ask you to please take care of yourselves, others and to be safe… SAFE with the choices you make.
PITP is a community and we need to look out for each other. It can be hot during the day and cold at night so make sure you stay hydrated. Know the signs and act quickly if you see them – fluctuating body temperature, collapse, fitting, vomiting, altered state of mind, rapid breathing, sweating, difficulty communicating, unconsciousness or simply feeling unwell. If you are concerned for yourself or anyone else, please visit Party Safe and St John Ambulance onsite teams immediately for assistance. They are there to help you without judgement.
PLEASE… Look after yourself, your mates and all others – if something doesn’t feel right, head to the medical tent, tell security or a PITP crew member. We are all there to help you party safely!
