announces
“HOLDING ON”
& National Tour

Singer-song writer Noah Dillon, has recently exploded onto the vibrant WA music scene with his 5 piece alt-rock band. His lyric driven music is a melting pot of honest stories and emotional tales, seamlessly colliding mundane existence with the darkest depths of life. Opening 2019 with a bang, Dillon has just announced the release of his new heartfelt single “Holding On” (Out Feb 1st) and a national tour to boot.
Written about the death of a close friend, “Holding On” was something of a coping mechanism for Dillon as he explains, “This song looks into the enormity and injustice of death at such a young age and the trail of destruction, questioning and emptiness it leaves behind for the loved ones around them. After the initial impart of losing a friend that had passed I found a fear in returning to my normal routine and life moving along without them. The title of the song (Holding On) is in reference to holding onto the things that make my life keep spinning for the person thats no longer here because thats what they would want.”
Recorded at Tunafish Studio (Stella Donnelly) with Broderick Madden-Scott, the song was recorded to feel as real and raw as the emotional heart of the song, which had Dillon play most of the extra instruments on the track (synths, guitars, keys).
“The art work was inspired by a shot from a Wes Anderson film, and taken on the Swan River. The balloon symbolises the baggage of death not as a weight on who we are but a flying memory and guiding strength forward.” – Noah Dillon
The group released their first single, “The Man I’m Not”, in 2017 with huge success, gathering over 150,000+ streams on Spotify and community radio airplay across Australia. This success grew with a second single titled “Maggots”, released in May last year, receiving airplay on Triple J and becoming the most played song on RTRFM 92.1 in May, as well as their 6th most played song of 2018.
Noah’s music is a genre bending mix of singer song-writer inspirations such as Bob Dylan and Courtney Barnett with the tear jerking attitude of Modest Mouse and Alex G creating a unique kaleidoscope of songs that’ll make you question who you are.
“Combining and juxtaposing the mundanities of everyday life against concepts of love, death and purpose; the band aims to provoke emotion, question actions and create a cathartic listening experience.” – Noah Dillon

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
