Melbourne-based singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Fractures today announces new live dates in support of 5-track EP Reset – out now via Caroline Australia. Fractures, AKA Mark Zito, will be joined by full band at Melbourne’s Geddes Lane on March 15 and Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory Gallery Bar on April 12 – shows on sale now, ticketing details below…
The announcement is partnered with a stripped back live rendition of EP track ‘Recover’ – a Valentine’s Day reveal, rather aptly, recounting an :
“imagined, could-have-been romance”, as Fractures explains: “It’s about the tension that lingers between two people where there’s obviously an attraction but circumstance dictates the outcome.”
“People can wander into your life and you have a connection with them, an instant rapport, and there’s a lingering sadness and acceptance perhaps that they’ll inevitably leave it without much fanfare, but the inescapable thought of what might have been follows you around and makes you ask questions of everything,” he says. “Not a foreign concept, but an uncomfortable one.”

Fractures has earned a reputation for creating genre-blending combinations that pair lush production and infectious pop hooks with haunting narratives. He’s won a wide range of fans and praise from his peers including Gotye and Chet Faker for his diverse, alluring sound.
After releasing two accredited LPs, 2014’s Fractures and 2017’s Still Here, Fractures (who currently sits on 38M+ streams on Spotify and Apple Music combined) made his debut on FADER Label in 2018 with EP track “Sculptures.” Billboard called the track “haunting, ethereal.” Fractures then released another EP track “Dawn”, as well as a stunning cover of Benny Blanco’s “Eastside” which earned over 100K streams in less than a week.
New EP Reset balances soft, captivating vocals, pulsing synths, and rich, textured production featuring intricate guitars and electronic tones. Fractures’ lyrics – alternating between falsetto and strong, layered vocals – urge hope and the need for perseverance.
He says: “The EP encapsulates something of an in-between and a shift to bigger and hopefully better things…songs like ‘Reset’, ’Dawn’ and ’Splinter’ are a meditation of sorts on how it pays to break a pattern and make hard decisions in order to gain momentum and get out of a rut.”
