Singles Chartifacts: 

#1: Ariana Grande ‘7 Rings’ – For the fifth week in a row, Ariana Grande’s ‘7 Rings’ holds #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart. After having 12 tracks in last week’s Top 50, the American artist has eight in this week’s chart, including sitting at #2 with ‘Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I’m Bored’.

#9: Khalid ‘Talk’ – Moving up 15 spots in its second week on the chart, ‘Talk’ by Khalid hits the Top Ten for the first time. It becomes the American singer-songwriter’s fourth Top Ten as a lead artist.

#18: The Chainsmokers Feat. 5 Seconds of Summer ‘Who Do You Love’ – American duo The Chainsmokers jump ten spots with their collaboration with ARIA Award winners 5 Seconds of Summer, ‘Who Do You Love’. The track debuted last week at #28.

#20: Dominic Fike ‘3 Nights’ – As it notches up its sixth week in the Top 50, Dominic Fike’s debut chart entry ‘3 Nights’ moves up ten places to claim a new peak at #20.

#22: Cardi B & Bruno Mars ‘Please Me’ (Debut) – After collaborating on ‘Finesse’ (#6 Feb. ’18), Cardi B and Bruno Mars join forces again on ‘Please Me’. The track is Cardi B’s first new entry as a lead artist since ‘I Like It’ (#14 Jul. ’18). Bruno Mars last appeared with his collaboration with Gucci Mane and Kodak Black, ‘Wake Up In The Sky’ (#46 Oct. ’18).

Albums Chartifacts:

#1: Ariana Grande ‘Thank U, Next’ – Ariana Grande holds the #1 spot on both ARIA Charts for a second straight week as Thank U, Next retains the top place on the Albums Chart. It becomes Grande’s first album to spend more than one week at #1.

#4: The Cat Empire ‘Stolen Diamonds’ (Debut) – Melbourne’s The Cat Empire release their eighth studio album, Stolen Diamonds. It’s the group’s first release since Rising With The Sun (#1 Mar. ’16) and their sixth to chart in the Top Ten. They also previously hit #1 with Two Shoes (#1 Apr. ’05).

#7: Florida Georgia Line ‘Can’t Say I Ain’t Country’ (Debut) – Florida Georgia Line take out their second Top Ten album on the ARIA Charts with Can’t Say I Ain’t Country. It’s the American duo’s third studio album and features an appearance by Jason Derulo, as well as a version of the collaboration with Bebe Rexha, ‘Meant To Be’ (#2 Jan. ’18). Florida Georgia Line also peaked at #7 with previous album, Dig Your Roots (#7 Sept. ’16).

#9: Avril Lavigne ‘Head Above Water’ (Debut) – Canadian singer-songwriter Avril Lavigne returns with Head Above Water, her first album in six years. Lavigne’s sixth studio album is also her sixth to hit the ARIA Top Ten and is the follow-up to her self-titled album (#7 Nov. ’13). Avril Lavigne has previously topped the Albums Chart with Let Go (#1 Dec. ’02), Under My Skin (#1 May ’04) and Goodbye Lullaby (#1 Mar. ’11).

#11: Methyl Ethel ‘Triage’ (Debut) – Releasing Triage, their third album, Perth band Methyl Ethel take out a second ARIA Top 50 entry and a new peak. The follow-up to Everything Is Forgotten (#16 Mar. ’17) was recorded in front man Jake Webb’s home studio.
