This year is the 30th anniversary of Byron Bay’s Bluesfest. That’s three decades of curating some of the most fascinating and surprising line-ups of any event in the world.
To celebrate this massive milestone, Double J are road tripping to Bluesfest to bring you all the best bits of the festival, from intimate conversations with artists to live performance highlights.
Across the weekend, Double J’s very own Zan Rowe and ABC Radio’s Bern Young will be in conversation with some of the most exciting artists on the bill, like Jack Johnson, Gary Clark Jr., Lukas Nelson, Fantastic Negrito, Caiti Baker and more. You can hear it all go down on Double J and ABC Radio from 10am on Easter Sunday, 21 April.
Plus our incredible live music team will be capturing the best live sets which we’ll share with you through Live At The Wireless and across Double J’s usual music programming after the festival.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
