“The most elaborate, high-tech arena show Elton has ever attempted…A parade of mega-hits and one hell of a way to say goodbye.” – Rolling Stone USA
“Each song felt so important. Each moment seemed so significant. And the crowd hung on every word, spoken or sung. It wasn’t just a concert, but rather a chance for these fans to express their thanks to a performer whose music has played such a huge part in the soundtracks of their lives.”
– Mercury News, California

In response to enormous demand, and hot on the heels of the incredible global success of the Rocketman epic musical fantasy, Elton-mania has reached fever pitch! It can today be announced that Sir Elton John has extended the Australian leg of his sold-out Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour and added concerts at Geelong’s Mt Duneed Estate, AAMI Park in Melbourne, plus four regional stadium “firsts” in: Coffs Harbour, Townsville, Sunshine Coast and Sydney.
The six new outdoor shows, which go on-sale Tuesday 25 June, take Australia’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road concert tally to 32 (38 including New Zealand’s six performances) – and now carry the mammoth tour through five months, beginning Perth on 30 November 2019 and wrapping up in March 2020.
Elton will enthral audiences at Melbourne’s AAMI Park on Saturday 22 February; it will be the 5th and largest Melbourne show on his Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour, and 50th performance in the city since his 1971 debut at Kooyong Stadium.
He will deliver the first music performance ever to be staged at Coffs Harbour’s C. ex Coffs International Stadium on Wednesday 26 February, and becomes the first international recording artist to play at Sunshine Coast Stadium on Tuesday 3 March.
In an incredible coup, Sir Elton has been secured to open Townsville’s brand new North Queensland Stadium on Saturday 29 February, which will be the first-ever event to take place at the venue. Following media speculation last month, the Queensland Government, Townsville City Council, Stadiums Queensland and TEL worked with promoter Chugg Entertainment to lock in the legendary artist’s return to the city in February 2020, thirteen years after his 2007 visit, which saw Elton play to a record-breaking 22,000-strong audience.
His final stop on the Australia-New Zealand leg of the Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour will land at the newly rebuilt Bankwest Stadium in Parramatta on Saturday 7 March, becoming the very first music performance to take place at the Western Sydney venue.
Additionally, Geelong’s Mt Duneed Estate will host the showman for A Day On The Green on Saturday 7 December, bringing his tally of Victorian shows on the Farewell Tour to eleven.
Tickets to the Melbourne, Coffs Harbour and A Day On The Green shows
will go on sale at 9am (local), Tuesday 25 June.
Tickets for the Townsville, Sunshine Coast and Sydney shows
will go on sale at 12 noon (local), Tuesday 25 June.
Since going on sale in February this year, Australia and New Zealand have snapped up tickets to Elton’s Farewell tour, with total sales approaching half a million tickets over the 32 shows announced to date.
“We’re thrilled to be adding even more dates to Elton’s final tour”, said promoter Michael Chugg.“Demand has been absolutely incredible, we know the Rocketman is going to create magic memories for Australia and New Zealand when he arrives later this year!”
More than a concert;
an unforgettable memory!
This is the final chance to nab your spot at
Elton John’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour

ABOUT ELTON JOHN
Elton’s career achievements to date are unsurpassed in their breadth and longevity. Elton is one of the top-selling solo artists of all time, with 38 gold records and 31 platinum and multi-platinum albums, over 50 Top 40 hits, and he has sold more than 300 million records worldwide. He holds the record for the biggest-selling single of all time, “Candle in the Wind 1997,” which sold over 33 million copies. ‘Diamonds’ the Ultimate Greatest Hits album, reached the Top 5 of the UK album charts on its release in November 2017, becoming Elton’s 40th UK Top 40 album in the process, reaching Gold status before the end of the year. This release celebrated 50 years of his songwriting partnership with Bernie Taupin. August 2018 saw Elton named as the most successful male solo artist in Billboard Hot 100 chart history, having logged 67 entries, including nine No.1s and 27 Top 10s.
He has also written the music for stage and screen successes Billy Elliot: The Musical, Elton John and Tim Rice’s Aida, and The Lion King, which was named the highest-grossing stage show or film release in the world. Elton announced the ‘Farewell Yellow Brick Road’ tour at New York’s Gotham Hall in January 2018. Encompassing 5 continents, and over 300 dates, this 3-year-long tour started in September and marks his retirement from touring after more than 50 years on the road. To date, Elton has delivered more than 4,000 performances in more than 80 countries since launching his first tour in 1970. April 2018 saw the release of ‘Revamp’, an album of the world’s biggest musical stars covering some of Elton’s best loved Songs.
Among the many awards and honours bestowed upon him are five GRAMMYs along with a GRAMMY Legend award, a Tony and an Oscar, a Best British Male Artist BRIT Award, induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame, the Kennedy Center Honor, Legend of Live Award, 13 Ivor Novello Awards and a knighthood from HM Queen Elizabeth II for “services to music and charitable services.”
In 1992, Elton established the Elton John AIDS Foundation, which today is one of the leading non-profit HIV/AIDS organizations and has raised over $400 million to date in the global fight against HIV/AIDS. In January 2018, he received the Crystal Award for this long- standing fight against HIV/AIDS at the World Economic Forum in Davos. At the 2018 International AIDS Conference in Amsterdam, Sir Elton John and Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, announced the launch of the MenStar Coalition; an over $1.2 billion global partnership, that seeks to engage men in new and innovative ways to break the cycle of HIV transmission and ultimately end the AIDS epidemic by 2030.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
