One of Brisbane’s best and heaviest, The Brave, are today releasing an incredible re-imagined version of ‘Aura’, the title track from their recent full-length album release, out through UNFD. This version of ‘Aura’ takes what was an ambient electronic interlude and transforms it into an emotionally-charged, guitar-driven epic ballad that hits you right in the feels!
The track originated from humble beginnings as the shortest, softest track on the record and was pulled straight from the heart of frontman Nate Toussaint who explains that “Aura was originally written as a bit of a love song for my now wife…it came out as a bit of a piano based R&B style track for the album.”
With the upcoming Aura Tour looming, The Brave found themselves wanting to breathe even more life into ‘Aura’ and felt there was room for a deeper sound, a more intense desperation and a solid guitar solo that really drives this track home and will resonate with audiences all across the country. Toussaint adds, “while putting together the set for our Aura Tour, we knew we wanted to make a more ‘live version’ of the song and as it started coming together we all decided to record and release the song as a re-imagined version.”
To catch this masterpiece live in action, The Brave will be heading out on the Aura Tour early August which will see the boys set the stages alight in Fremantle, Perth, Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney and Brisbane in support of the album. The Brave will take Pridelands along for the ride and have picked 13 of Australia’s finest local acts to join them on the ‘Aura’ journey across Australia.
Friday August 2 will mark the beginning of the tour in Fremantle’s Newport Hotel supported by Statues, Patient Sixty-Seven, Fadeaway and Hercules Morse (Pridelands not appearing) before heading straight to Perth’s Amplifier Bar on Saturday August 3 with Statues, Worlds Apart and The Light The Dark (Pridelands not appearing). Melbourne is up next on Friday August 9 at Stay Goldwith Pridelands, Earthbound and Washed Away, Saturday August 10 is Adelaide’s turn at Enigma Bar supported by Pridelands, Emecia and Heartline before Sydney on Friday August 16 at Factory Floor alongside Pridelands, Mirrors and Isotopes and finally rounding out the tour in their hometown in Brisbane on Saturday August 17 at The Brightside with Pridelands, Mirrors and Days Like These.
Forming in Brisbane in 2013, The Brave quickly began turning heads with the release of their 2014 EP ‘Endless’. This EP captured the bands particular brand of lightning in a bottle and became the prequel to the critically acclaimed breakout debut album ‘Epoch’ in 2016, which earned plaudits worldwide from the likes of BBC Radio 1, Kerrang, Triple J and more. ‘Aura’ takes this groundwork and builds on it in striking fashion.
Aura is a bold snapshot of a band seeking to use the simple power of music to move people. Threaded throughout are themes of change, love and loss, and taken as a whole body of work it’s sure to further establish The Brave as one of the most forward-thinking and exciting bands in heavy music in 2019.
‘Aura’ (Re-Imagined) is out now – available at all streaming platforms and digital stores. Don’t miss out on the ‘Aura’ tour, tickets available at https://thebraveofficial.com/tour!

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
