Sydney-based agency Good Intent are proud to reveal their first birthday celebrations, as a part of Newtown’s annual music community event, King Street Crawl. Set to takeover Upstairs at The Marly on Sunday September 1, the line-up will feature 10 exciting emerging artists, a secret headliner and a DJ set from indie-rock luminaries Dappled Cities.
Leading the charge on the first announcement is Northern Beaches grunge-punk quartet Down For Tomorrow. The band’s most recent singles ‘What Could Have Been’ and ‘Thanks To You’ were strongly supported by the likes of triple j, triple j Unearthed, Spotify and worldwide blogs. The group also recently sold out their first Sydney headline show at the SLY FOX, five weeks out from the event date.
Over the past few months, Nelipot have been hard at work releasing a pair of critically acclaimed tracks ‘Garden Hose Rainbows’ and latest effort ‘Lucy’s Better’ and traversing the countryside playing to capacity crowds. The NSW Central Coast-based indie-rock group have received strong praise from the likes of triple j, triple j Unearthed, Spotify, MTV, KEXP (USA), KCRW (USA), Clash Magazine (UK) and Pilerats.
New Western Sydney-based RnB artist A.GIRL recently unveiled her debut single ‘2142’. Since its release, ‘2142’ has been played multiple times on triple j, and added to rotation on triple j Unearthed and FBi Radio. The track has also been strongly supported by worldwide tastemaker blogs and Spotify who added it to their ‘Urban Flavour’ and ‘R&B Connect’ playlists.
The rest of the bill will feature pop-rock duo MONATOMIC, Melbourne-based indie-pop artist Wolfjay, indie-dance duo Sister Peach and RnB artist JUNIE – the new solo project of Bootleg Rascal’s front man Carlos Lara.
Also joining the line-up will be an offering of Singapore’s finest talent, including post-hardcore 5-piece Caracal, experimental-electronica duo .gif and indie-folk artist Lincoln Lim.
In the first year of their operation, Good Intent have worked with over 50 clients, which includes the likes of The Gooch Palms, Bag Raiders, Kim Churchill, Luude, Sony Music, Universal Music, BMG and TMRW Music. They’ve also handled campaigns for breakout emerging artists such as RedHook, Ruby Gill and Kirklandd.
The agency recently launched their management arm, which includes Bootleg Rascal, Down For Tomorrow, AKA Lui and record producer Simon Dobson.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
