After releasing their double A-side ‘Yin & Yang’, Sydney-based party starters Bootleg Rascal have just revealed the brooding new clip for the focus track ‘Get Over Myself’ – shot and directed by Dan Hodgson across various locations in Western QLD and Brisbane, and edited by Jared Hinz.

The plot is based on front man Carlos Lara and guitarist Jimmy Young being kidnapped by evil versions of themselves from another dimension. They’re captured, tied up and taken out to a remote location where it appears the boys may have met a rather grizzly end. By the video’s end, only one pair will make it out alive.

Young talks about the making of the clip: “It was amazing being able to head out west and film a lot of this video. My family used to have big properties for farming out there back in the day and one of my ancestors is actually named on the World War 2 memorial in Charleville. It was really surreal being able to go out there and re-connect with my family history. In fact, we went to a lot of places we’d never been before to shoot this, including Charleville, Chinchilla and Flinders Peak to name a few. It was great to have an excuse to check these areas out that we might otherwise have never seen. I even got to fly a plane!”.
