‘Pretty Please’

“Like Beck without the wackiness, Son Little with a little more playfulness and some of the best bits of Everlast shine through a bit as well.” – Double J

“Firmly rooted within a R&B frame of reference, albeit one that’s darker than most, and mixes elements of 80’s rock and 90’s grunge to great effect.” – AU Review

“Chock-full of the artist’s signature mystique, the track [‘Stitch’] is laden with guitar riffs as raspy and melodic as Rayman’s vocals.” – Billboard

‘Pretty Please’ is the second track off Rayman’s upcoming album, CHRISTIAN. It was mixed by GRAMMY Award winning mixer Manny Marroquin and produced by GRAMMY Award winning producer Alex da Kid (Rihanna, Eminem, Imagine Dragons, Dr Dre) whose label imprint, KIDindaKorner, Allan is signed to alongside of Dew Process / Universal Music Australia.

In addition to releasing the new video today, the often press shy singer-songwriter made his silver screen debut, granting a rare sit-down interview to the famed “Jack Tallahassee Show.” Speaking on the experience, Allan remarked, “I’ve been dying to get on The Jackie Tallahassee show for years. I’m grateful for the opportunity. I enjoyed my conversation with Jackie.”

The quirky video for ‘Pretty Please’ follows on from his recent video for ‘Stitch,’ the debut single off of the upcoming album CHRISTIAN, which follows a day in the life of Allan and NY Times named “Top 10 Promising Designer” Daniel Gregory Natale, as he prepares for Paris Fashion Week. The video was directed by Steph Verschuren, the singer/songwriter’s longtime creative director and collaborator.

CHRISTIAN which is currently in the works and will also be produced by Alex da Kid, follows Allan’s critically acclaimed album Harry Hard-On released late last year via Polydor UK, Republic Records, KIDindaKorner, Universal Music Canada, and featured Rayman’s previous four releases – ‘Hotel Allan,’ ‘Roadhouse 01’, ‘Courtney,’ and most recently ‘Harry Hard-On’ have provided him somewhat of a combination between widespread recognition and a cult following.

With over 150 million streams, Rayman has been celebrated by the likes of the aforementioned Billboard and exclusive outlets like Vogue, alongside selling out headline tours in the United States and Canada and has made a name for himself at major festivals including Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Ohana, Austin City Limits and Osheaga.

However, his lack of public / social media presence and resistance towards doing press has established him as one of the most mysterious characters in the music industry, content with letting his art speak for itself. It’s a rare feat to remain under the radar and in front of it at the same time in the modern digital music age, highlighting just how brilliantly Rayman has been able to craft his career over the last few years.

Dew Process is thrilled to be a part of perpetuating the man, the myth and the music of Allan Rayman.
