Set to close a momentous year with performances at This That and Falls Festival, CXLOE today shares the official video for Sick feat. Gnash. The Sydney bred, LA-based artist has already defined herself with a broadly appealing yet critically acclaimed and completely idiosyncratic blend of alternative, electronic, and ‘dark pop’, claiming over 19 million streams and global media support touting the words “next big thing”.
Filmed in Los Angeles by director Jade Ehlers (Fall Out Boy, Weezer) featuring LA chart-topper Gnash, the stunning video for Sick shows CXLOE letting loose as she paces and moves to the tracks contagious beats. Captured within the confines of her bedroom and white padded walls, CXLOE also wallows in a milk bath that symbolises the feelings of being swallowed up by the feelings she’s singing about.
“The visual for the song was to capture the idea of kind of losing it in your own head,” she shares. “Creating spaces where you feel isolated in your own thoughts.”
“Sick is about loving too much and never wanting to show it,” CXLOE (Chloe Papandrea) adds. “It’s about never having that middle ground or normalcy within yourself because your emotions are extremes of each other. Sometimes we want to be showered in affection and jewels and dinners, and sometimes we just want that raw emotion of feeling sick over someone, like an obsession — that pit of your stomach sick.”
CXLOE splits her time between the recording studio in Los Angeles and her home in Sydney, playing full houses at her Australian national headline shows most recently took the stage at The Roxy and School Night in LA.
CXLOE has worked in the studio with the likes of Kito, Michael Pollack, Alex Hope, The Futuristics, Justin Tranter (the multi-platinum songwriter who’s written songs for Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, Gwen Stefani), Ross Golan (who co-wrote Ariana Grande’s Grammy-nominated Dangerous Woman), and Casey Smith (who co-wrote Sick with CXLOE).

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
