Chaos is set to descend upon the streets of Sydney in 2020 as Invasion Fest reveals the full strength of it’s line-up, featuring the hottest acts in the heavy scene from Australia and around the world. In the spirit of saving the best for last, rising stars of the hardcore scene Knocked Loose were announced as the final piece of the puzzle, with Invasion Fest becoming their largest Australian headline show to date. The Kentucky outfit have become the absolute must see act in heavy music after recently dropping their mind-bending and back-breaking sophomore album A Different Shade Of Blue.

Victoria’s own The Red Shore have also announced they’ll be performing an exclusive reunion set at Invasion Fest; the band’s first show in over 10 years. The band stated the set will give die hard fans a chance to celebrate the memories and lives of Damien Morris and Andy Milner who will forever remain part of the band and the scene. California’s Terror are no strangers to Australian shores, but every time they are here we welcome them with open arms as the stalwarts of the hardcore scene are still at the top of their game with an energy and passion that is seldom matched on the stage.

“The breakdowns are huge, the lyrical emotion and honesty are so authentic, the riffs are off-kilter and killer old-school throwbacks, the vocal interplay between Bryan Garris and Isaac Hale is full of weight and chemistry, and these 12 songs have a whole new level of energy. “ – KillYourStereo on Knock Loose’s A Different Shade Of Blue.

Invasion Fest also touts the Australian debut of not one, but two of the most exciting upcoming acts in the hardcore scene. Philadelphia’s Jesus Piece have decimated the stages of hardcore festivals such as This Is Hardcore in recent times, and thanks to outlets such as Hate5Six, Australian fans have been able to get a glimpse of exactly what they can expect when the five piece makes it’s first trip to Australia. The UK’s Malevolence were the first act announced as part of Invasion Fest, and for good reason. After 10 years of grinding hard, the beatdown act is finally set to grace the Australian shores, bringing their special blend of politically charged hardcore with them.

The show will also mark Alpha Wolf’s first Australian show after their second run through Europe as part of the Never Say Die festival. After having one of the most talked about sets at Invasion Fest last time around, Sydney’s own Justice For The Damned will have home ground advantage in 2020, and with their most recent Sydney headliner selling out in mere minutes, it’s clear Sydney is hungry for what’s next.

Invasion Fest is also proud to be looking to the next generation of Australian heavy acts, and giving them the chance to share the stage with some of the biggest names in the scene right now. Sydney’s Bloom have been making waves across the local scene in recent months, as their new single Cold has seen the band on the lips of everyone looking for that next hit of emotionally charged hardcore. Brisbane’s Crave Death have stormed their way into people’s hearts with their brutal double single Suffocate // Burden, and hometown heroes Homesick will take to the stage with the powerful message that was their latest album Terra Nullius.

Invasion Fest is coming to Sydney in January of 2020.
