Fit with a sonic palette that warbles with an oceanic heft and a searing pop edge, Perth born and bred indie trailblazers Almond Soy have made serious waves over the last two years.

What started as a humble bedroom project has rolled into a burgeoning bubble of hype, with the 5-piece garnering more success with each release.

2019 has proven to be their busiest year so far, kicking things off with a national tour in partnership with Happy Happy Soy Boy and Beyond Blue, celebrating the release of their scorching single ‘Apartment’, supporting the likes of Holy Holy, later going on to sign with Four Tone Artists for bookings.

The band are launching back into the second half of the year with their first release, ‘Coat’, off of their forthcoming EP, Under the Wait, set to come out January 2020. The single, ‘Coat’, is a poignant 80’s new wave flair, dipped in an Australiana-tinged finish. The track oozes with reverb is produced by Perth local producer, Sam Ford.

Vocalist Brandon Stockbridge says “‘Coat’ is a song that romanticises the idea of change, the feeling of needing to get away from a cloud that surrounds an individuals headspace.”

‘Coat’ will be available on all streaming platforms on the 15th November, with a preview of the single through SoundCloud on November 8th.

To celebrate the release of ‘Coat’, Almond Soy will be playing a headline show at their local, The Civic Hotel, on the 16th of November.
