LANEWAY FESTIVAL:
Brisbane line-up update

THE 1975
cancel Brisbane appearance
due to sickness

.

.

The 1975 and Laneway Festival regretfully share the news that The 1975 are unable to perform at the Brisbane Laneway Festival this evening.

Matt Healy, lead singer of the British four piece, is under doctor’s orders not to play this evening due to very recent health issues.

The band say: “It is with great regret that we are unable to play this evening in Brisbane. Matty was hospitalised following a bout of serious sickness and unfortunately after a medical examination at 5.30pm today the doctor has advised that Matty is too weak to play. We hope to be back on track for tomorrow’s show in Sydney. Thanks in advance for everyone’s understanding and apologies for the lateness of this announcement. We are all devastated to miss tonight’s show but have to put Matty’s welfare first. X

Due to the very late nature of the cancellation, there will be no replacement act.  King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard will now perform on the Good Better Best Stage at 9pm.  The Laneway Festival thanks ticket-holders for their understanding.
