Praise for BINGO LOCO

“Thought bingo was for your nan? Think again. It’s also for you — or perhaps, if she’s a groovy gran, for the both of you”. – Concrete Playground (AUS)

“Glowstick raves, thumping music, dance-offs, wild costumes, lip-sync battles, confetti showers and comedy. This isn’t a club or a festival, it’s bingo – and far removed from what your nan does at her weekly sessions”. – Broadsheet (AUS)

“Bingo Loco has become nothing short of an entertainment phenomenon”. – Lonely Planet (AUS)

One of Australia’s most exciting new events, Bingo Loco, has just announced their massive event series across the month of May, featuring special guests Rebecca Black and Nikki Webster – set to be hosted by radio personality Alex Dyson.

After selling out venues such as the Enmore Theatre, Metro Theatre, 170 Russell, Freo Socialand Big Top, Bingo Loco XXL May will be held around the country, with shows in Sydney, Perth, Melbourne and Brisbane.

Bingo Loco XXL May will see the event roll out their eccentric signature show complete with rave rounds, lip-sync battles, dance-offs, comedian MCs, confetti showers, mammoth production and epic secret prizes, which have previously included trips to Las Vegas, Coachella Festival, a convertible car and a boat.

Rebecca Black is best known for her 2011 hit ‘Friday’, which reached mainstream media attention after the video clip went viral on YouTube. Within a few short weeks, artists such as the Jonas Brothers tweeted the lyrics and performed the song in concert, as did Justin Bieber. Lady Gagatold a group at Google headquarters that “Rebecca Black is genius”.

Nikki Webster became an Australian treasure after being ‘the girl who flew’ at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. With a strong acting, business and music career including ARIA nominated gold and platinum hits, Webster will be back on the stage at Bingo Loco this May performing her hit song ‘Strawberry Kisses’.

Over 98% of Bingo Loco shows have sold out, as the popularity of the event stems from the public’s desire for something different, zany and ostentatious.

“People want to dance and be stupid but they also want comedy, competitions, prizes and theatrics,” says co-founder William Meara. “They want to be involved in a show and not just left on a dance floor. Bingo Loco is not a performance, it’s an engaging experience with the mentality of a theatre show, while always ensuring every element is completely ridiculous. I don’t know of any other event where thousands of people will be singing their hearts out to Disney anthems, falling out of their chairs with laughter, raving to ‘Sandstorm’ as well as competing for awesome (and awful) prizes… all while playing Bingo”.

Bingo Loco partners with Make-A-Wish® Australia with proceeds from the event going towards helping create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.
