Ilja Alexander returns with a sterling future bass remix for ‘Someday’ via Green Monk Records. Carrying forward all of the emotion, impressions and yearnings found in ‘Someday’, the remix provides future bass elements and jagged electronic adornments.
With cascading snare drums and layered effects across, a delicate balance of maintaining the integrity of the original track while transporting it to an entirely new genre is struck.
Speaking of the remix, Ilja Alexander tells us, “After I first got a listen to the ‘Someday’ Remix, I thought: “Wow, amazed to see that my song and sound can be converted into a future bass dance remix!”. I never considered the possibilities of remixes, until the ‘Someday’ Remix.”

The original track was produced by Curtis Richardson (Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, Joss Stone), Adien Lewis (Taemin, SHINee, NCT Dream) and Alexander, mixed by Matt Wiggins (U2, Adele, Lorde) and mastered by Randy Merrill (Taylor Swift, Liam Gallagher, Lady Gaga). The official music video for ‘Someday’ has been featured by the renowned CLASH Magazine, EARMILK and Medium. Alexander has garnered substantial support in Indonesia including Cosmopolitan Magazine and CLEO Magazine, and with his previous single shooting to #1 on the Ardan radio chart in Indonesia.
Originally from Amsterdam, Alexander has recently formed a band in London. Although his parents were not musical, his grandfather was a gifted piano player. One day his father was playing Beethoven’s Für Elise when Alexander took a seat at the piano and began to play it himself. During high school, Alexander and his siblings were involved in music. He went on an exchange program to Osaka where he discovered that people were interested in his music. It was there that he decided to become a professional singer-songwriter.
Inspired by a wide array of artists and eras, Ilja Alexander cites influences from acts such as Electric Light Orchestra, The Libertines, John Lennon, Paul Mc Cartney, The Beach Boys and Burt Bacharach. However, the remix twists his work away from these influences, pulling ‘Someday’ towards the likes of Flume, Kygo and San Holo.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
