ISOL-AID FESTIVAL #8
announced today

G’DAY EIGHT!

.

.

Isol-Aid line-up number 8 (!!!) drops today on May 8th (M8 day). And in honour of both of these things, Isol-Aid is encouraging people to reach out to their m8s: text, call, email, video chat, check in.

SO, YOU ASK, WHAT’S IN THE BOX FOR ROUND 8?

What better way to check in on your m8s than our partnership with Vanessa, the youth arm of the TAC (Transport Accident Commission). As part of their “Going The Distance” campaign, seeing notable artists from the Australian music community helping young people dealing with self-isolation, and after the resounding success of last week when Vanessa hosted the incredible Middle Kids live on their channel, they are back with another epic surprise party!

All week the Isol-Aid and Vanessa Instagram accounts have been delivering hints and all will finally be revealed at 8.20pm on Saturday 9th May as the “Vanessa Secret Artist” plays live on the @vanessabus account.

Close to the heart of Isol-Aid programming is highlighting and giving platform to essential slices of the Australian music community. And this weekend, Isol-Aid is partnering with FReeZA, the innovative youth development program modelled on a youth participation approach. Their Amped Up TV program will see youth artists Trickel, DJ Gay Dad, and Stella McCloskey perform on Saturday 9th May. This program was led, planned, developed and delivered by young people from across Victoria.

This weekend Isol-Aid is also thrilled to be partnering with Daily Nightly, a record label from Untitled Group in partnership with Caroline Australia and beloved industry stalwarts Unified Music Group. The Area and the City of Paramatta will deliver the finest hip hop out of West Sydney, and in addition to these local offerings, Isol-Aid is also over the moon to welcome US label Saddle Creek Records to the curatorial table.

AND to celebrate the mums, step mums and all mother figures on Mother’s Day Sunday 10th May, we have the delectable Sarah Carroll and sons Fenn and George Wilson performing back to back sets live from their individual Instagram accounts.

So yet again the weekend beckons and Isol-Aid Festival delivers another fresh online music feast and gathering space. This weekend from 1pm to 10pm on Saturday and 2pm to 9pm on Sunday (AEST), artists play 20-minute sets streamed live via their Instagram accounts. At the end of their set, each musician tag-teams the next artist to play, sending fans down a rabbit hole of new music discovery, community, and good feels.
