It is with much regret that the organisers of Queensland’s Drive-In Concerts Live event which was to be held at Cleveland Showgrounds tomorrow has been postponed to Friday, 10 July 2020.
Organisers have reached out to all ticket holders and refunds have been provided to those requesting it.
The date change was precipitated by communication issues arising within State Government departments. Organisers were advised yesterday that the original date required rescheduling.
Since the event’s conception, Drive-In Concerts Live received formal legal advice around the event’s compliance, in addition to written confirmation of compliance from the Health Minister’s Office.
Organisers will continue to work with the relevant authorities to ensure all necessary regulations are in place to keep fans safe. The concerts will comply with all government requirements to safely reintroduce fans to live bands – socially distant, yet back together including:
All patrons must remain in their vehicles during the show except for bathroom breaks;
All vehicles will be spaced in an offset pattern to ensure social distancing between cars;
Tickets will be linked to a registered number-plate with occupant numbers in that car linked to the number-plate;
On site food and drinks will be able to be ordered through our website for contact-free delivery to vehicles on show day.
All tickets remain valid for the rescheduled show without the need for exchange.
Patrons unable to attend the new date should email [email protected] to request a full refund (including ticket insurance premium and refundable ticket purchase).
Fans are reminded to only buy tickets from the official ticket agents listed below so as to avoid “reselling” sites such as Viagogo who typically advertise heavily online and often mislead consumers into paying much higher prices than necessary.
