Jack Garratt (UK) is very pleased to release his new album, Love, Death & Dancing. It is available now through Dew Process.
The 12 track album features already released singles “Time” and “Better”, both of which have received a stack of airplay around the country.
“I wrote this album as someone – and for anyone – who likes dancing but doesn’t necessarily want to go out on a Saturday. It’s dance music for people who don’t want to go out.”
Love, Death & Dancing is performed solely by Jack Garratt, produced alongside Jacknife Lee and James Flannigan and is out now through Dew Process.
Jack last hit Australian shores in 2016, playing Splendour in the Grass and two sold out side shows at 170 Russell (Melbourne) and The Metro (Sydney). His single “Weathered” from his 2016 Phase LP reached #78 in triple j’s Hottest 100 Countdown in 2015. He has also been championed by Australian artists with M-Phazes (feat. Ruel) covering “Weathered” and Vera Blue putting her take on “Breathe Life” both for triple j’s Like A Version.
He has marked his return with a deeply personal album with an accompanying and equally reflective long-form visual piece, Love, Death & Dancing – a film by Jack Garratt which is now available in its full length glory.

Love, Death & Dancing is a candid, extremely personal exploration of the past few years of Jack’s life, which saw him buckle under the monumental pressure of his early success.
“I was in what should have been this huge celebratory moment, I’m 24, 25, my album has not only sold but sold well, globally, the tours were selling out, I was getting all these accolades and awards – I should have felt comfortable, at the very least. And instead I was scared and alone, and desperate for affection. I’d realised that a lot of the pillars of affection were hollow; they weren’t real.”
The period that followed saw Jack struggle in his personal relationships, scrap an entire follow-up album and grapple with self-loathing and suicidal thoughts. “The album was written from the point of view of someone who has a functioning sadness,” he says. “The album is about that functionality, that day-to-day battle, conversation, tug of war.”
Now, having taken some much-needed time out of the limelight, sought therapy and found peace within himself, Jack is ready to deliver his proudest body of work to date.
It’s a triumphant testament to survival and courage and ultimately a joyous album, introducing a sleeker, more refined artist with a no-holds-barred mentality and a powerful story to tell.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
