Last week, S1MBA’s viral hit single “Rover” got the official local remix treatment from Australia’s biggest emerging rappers Hooligan Hefs, Youngn Lipz and Hooks (boasting 90 million artist streams between them), listen to the track HERE. The new remix comes alongside a local video, released today, from frequent collaborator Kreezy Visions, watch the video HERE.
“We was already bumping the track. When S1MBA hit me to jump on it, I was like fkn oath!” says Hooligan Hefs.
On the making of the video, Kreezy adds “Myself and the Sueno team wanted to create this piece of art and stick to the Kreezy Visions style – crazy mask and glitch effects, coloured lighting, transitions etc. We shot the video across two days and what truly inspired us was the Aussie hip hop culture.I believe the cameo’s featured in the video truly speak of “the area” such as GeedUp and the upcoming artist Blueboy, Producer Colcci & Owner of Hoodlan, Hugo.”
With “Rover” being his first ever single at this level, S1MBA became an overnight sensation, the single now certified ARIA Gold and having clocked up over 59 million global streams. Representing the Rax Production’s collective hailing from Swindon/Oxford access to industry level studios wasn’t always the easiest thing to come by in their area however for S1MBA things have changed. Used to previously producing his own tracks he has since been in the studio working with a slew of platinum-selling producers, such as RymezBPM (Headie One, Steflondon, Dutchavelli, Ms Banks), Ill Blu (MoStack, Tion Wayne, Headie One) Show N Prove (Wretch 32, Dappy, Tinchy) ADP( Chris Brown,Dua Lipa, MoStack) , JoJoF (Cadet, Deno, Chip) and more.
