Praise for ZIGGY ALBERTS:
“If you like powerful, soulful voices like Dermot Kennedy and storytellers like Vance Joy, then this is for you.” – Substream
“Folk-hewn but modern-facing, his work sits alongside those early Ben Howard cuts or even Jack Johnson, that kind of slick but still endearingly earnest musicality.” – Clash, UK
“Ziggy Alberts: The golden boy who busked his way to success” – Triple J
“Youthful songwriter Ziggy Alberts’ sound has been described as ‘coastal folk’. It’s an apt description, with ‘Laps Around The Sun’ demonstrating both the warmth and loneliness of the coast.” – Songwriting Magazine

Ziggy continues to prove his self-made independent artist status, amassing over 350 million streams and selling out some of Australia’s biggest capital city venues this past summer. Alberts’ recent single ‘Together’ was released earlier this year, which gave his fans a taste of what’s on the horizon. Showing no signs of slowing down, Ziggy is set to release his next single ‘don’t get caught up’ on Wednesday 24 June 2020.
Ziggy says “I wrote this song in April 2020. It was my way of expressing what I think is most important right now – to not let fear create distance between each other. I think it’s easy in these times to distance one another for having different views – when really, everyone’s trying to do the right thing. We should encourage each other to be asking questions and supporting one another to have the freedom to do so.”
Pre-Save / Pre-Order “don’t get caught up” here
In true Ziggy Alberts fashion, the songwriter subtly layers subtext upon subtext, with a melodious blues and roots tune and a catchy chorus to match. ‘don’t get caught up’ is an undeniable stuck-in-your-head track.
As a pillar in the self-funded independent Australian artists realm, Ziggy Alberts has taken his talents globally, building a dedicated grassroots following. Ziggy’s uniquely compelling storytelling abilities shine through every one of his tracks with a reflection of what he holds close to him wherever he goes: a passion for the environment and his ocean-side upbringing.
In 2019, Ziggy Alberts played over 110 shows on his ‘Laps Around The Sun World Tour’. The solo artist travelled through Europe, United Kingdom, North America, Indonesia and New Zealand, all before returning home to Australia in December, to play his biggest self-promoted, sold-out tour, to-date. This tour leg was a major career milestone, having sold out the prestigious venues – Hordern Pavilion (Sydney), Fremantle Arts Centre (Fremantle), two nights at Thebarton Theatre (Adelaide), Sidney Myer Music Bowl (Melbourne), and Riverstage (Brisbane).

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
