Melbourne-based singer, songwriter, producer and multi-talented performer G FLIP shares a new version of her latest single ‘Hyperfine’ today, featuring breakout US artist LoveLeo.
Having quickly established himself as one of this year’s most promising artists, 21-year-old LoveLeo (Leo Rilley) is best known for his viral debut single ‘BOYFREN’, which shot to #1 on Spotify’s Global and US Viral Charts earlier this year. This new collab with Flipo arrives ahead of his debut EP, set for release later this month.
Originally released in May, ‘Hyperfine’ garnered an immediate response from fans, received widespread support from media including triple j, NME, The Line Of Best Fit and Rolling Stone, and has now surpassed over 2 million streams across platforms.
‘Hyperfine’ marked G Flip’s first release since launching her debut album About Us in 2019. The release scored Feature Album on triple j, #6 on the ARIA Album Chart and #1 on the Vinyl Chart. She also received three ARIA Award nominations (Best Independent Release, Breakthrough Artist and Best Video), was the #4 Most Played Artist on triple j, claimed four places in this year’s Hottest 100 (#6 Drink Too Much, #58 Lover, #66 Stupid, #77 I Am Not Afraid) and the album was also voted #2 in the triple j Album Poll. Flipo’s breakout single ‘About You’ also received gold accreditation while both ‘Killing My Time’ and ‘Drink Too Much’ went platinum.
