Praise for recent single “NOISE”:

““Noise” follows a strong 2019 for Nuria. With three singles released and a steady build up of support amongst Australian community radio, “Noise” continues this strong trajectory. It’s a solid release. Rich, elegant and textured “Noise” benefits not only from a beautiful vocal performance, but also the moody backing instrumentals that only work in the track’s favour. That little reoccurring guitar riff; sublime.” – Simon Clark, The Au Review

Praise for recent single “ENOUGH”:

“ You only have to play the song one to know that Nuria has beautiful vocals that are worth listening to” – M usic Injection Aus, Music Blog

““Enough” is a wonderful piece of music. I adore the quirky melodies which showcase many artistic expressions. Moreover, Nuria’s vocals are sublime, she has a very powerful voice.” – Lefuturewave, Music Blog

Following a prolific start to 2020 with five songs from her upcoming debut album released, Tasmanian indie-pop artist, Nuria, delivers a striking new track to mark these strange times with single “What will become of us?”, out July 3rd. Garnering support from Australian community radio, including ABC Hobart and ABC Darwin, Triple R as well as local and international music blog features (including Lefuturewav, The Au Review and Aus Music Injection), Nuria is steadily building an audience for her music and her message.

“What will become of us?” is a deeply revealing track about the loneliness and questioning that we experience as individuals and our need to be wanted, loved and understood by those around us – themes that are particularly pertinent during these times of enforced isolation.

Nuria recalls some of the earliest times she experienced these feelings in her life: “My high school years were rough. What had seemed a solid family life completely fell apart. Dad moved out, mum was a wreck and I felt lost and alone. Borderline anorexic, I was full of body image issues and lacking self worth. I tried to seek affirmation, security and a sense of belonging in friends but they were bitchy and unpredictable. I tried to find it in romances but my love remained unrequited. I ached to feel loved and special to someone, to be good enough, to be worthwhile.

I wonder how many of us question ourselves and our place in the world like this. And I wonder how it would feel if we knew we were not alone in these experiences.”

Written through her involvement with I Heart Songwriting Club, recorded in her home caravan studio during isolation and mixed by Alice Springs based Dave Crowe (aka Resin Moon) this heart-swelling new single is the sixth track off her upcoming debut album due for release in late 2020.
