UK indie rock outfit BLOXX have been making waves already this year; the band are hot on the heels of stardom after releasing two stellar singles from their forthcoming debut album Lie Out Loud.
Their latest track “Off My Mind” is a groovy melodic singalong that will be stuck in your head instantly, building into a huge stadium-esque chorus. Tastemakers around the world are already sitting up to take notice, with Annie Mac from the UK’s BBC Radio 1 giving the track her coveted ‘Hottest Record’ spot.

Fee writes of the song’s genesis: “I think ‘Off My Mind’ is the most intimate on the record and maybe that I’ve ever written. It’s definitely the most raw I’ve been in terms of descriptive content in lyricism. It’s quite purely a song about sex and love. Who doesn’t like that?”
BLOXX released their debut single “Your Boyfriend” the year of their formation and built on its success to release other tracks such as “Sea Blue” (which received support from Australia’s own triple j) and 2019’s Headspace EP. Since their conception, BLOXX have accumulated over 20 million streams and have supported seminal indie rockers The Wombats at O2 Academy Brixton, as well as Two Door Cinema Club, The Night Cafe and Sundara Karma. They have also appeared on the bill for the iconic Reading & Leeds festival twice.
This year, BLOXX are eager to continue their success with the release of their debut album Lie Out Loud. Working with prolific writers such as Jenn Decliveo (Hinds, Anne-Marie), James Dring (Jamie T, Loyle Carner), Larry Hibbit (Nothing But Thieves) and Luke Fitton (Sundara Karma), the band is looking to branch out and eke out a more pop-based sound.
This change-up has been evident in BLOXX’s 2020 releases, which have included “Lie Out Loud”, a track that has received extensive support from BBC Radio 1 in the UK, premiering as a hottest record with Annie Mac and landing a spot as Radio 1 Breakfast presenter Greg James’ ‘Single of the Week’.
BLOXX have all but guaranteed their place in the mainstream indie rock scene, with still more stellar music to come.

BLOXX debut album “Lie Out Loud” is set for release in August 2020.
