Praise for TINPAN ORANGE:
“Making for a strikingly assured album, the deep dives into heart-sleeved honestly equally matched by the cinematic stretches of detailed, string arrangements and brooding folk-pop features.” Rolling Stone
“Love is a Dog ….envelopes you completely and makes you want to listen again and again.” Music Feeds
“[Emily’s] exquisite, brushed -velvet voices conjures a steady neck-hair waltz as her guitarist brother Jesse twangs in echoes and Alex Burkoy’s violin makes like swirling leaves and memories” – Love is a Dog.

“Written weeks before COVID-19 locked down the world, Turn It On Again is a breezy, if not prescient, indie gem from Tinpan Orange”.
Song You Need To Know, Rolling Stone Australia

Indie-folk darlings Tinpan Orange are back with new music after a brief two year hiatus. Their new single ‘Turn it on again’ explores themes of letting go, hope and rebirth. Emily’s ethereal vocals float above subtle stripped back guitar melodies and lush production that captures the band romantic songwriting.
A few weeks before the world went into Covid 19 lock down the band went into the studio to record a new EP. ‘Turn it on again’ is the first of the collection of songs they created in their home studio in the hinterland of NSW Northern Rivers.
Speaking about the new single today Emily Lubitz says, ‘I originally wrote this song about the power of shutting down in order to come back with vitality and a new focus. It’s my only technique for fixing technological problems made into a metaphor for relationships. The shutting down of the Covid world has given the song an eerie new relevance.’
The track is being released in Germany, Switzerland and Austria through Radicalis Records, in Scandinavia through Celebration Records – both record companies are running PR campaigns around the release.
Tinpan Orange are one of Australia’s most loved and revered indie -folk bands. Emily’s exquisite vocals with her brother Jesse on guitar, combined with violin virtuoso Alex Burkoy have seen the band release five studio albums and tour globally throughout North America and Europe, and all the significant festivals at home: Laneway, Woodford Folk Festival, Falls Festival, Waverock, Port Fairy, Melbourne Festival.
Like most musicians in 2020, their touring plans have been put on hold, however, they have performed online at Isol-Aid and Woodford Folk Festival streaming, Lounge Room Sessions over the past few months.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
