Number 22 is considered to be one of the most powerful and spiritual numbers – able to turn your dreams and desires into reality! ISOL-AID streaming again this weekend? Beaming into your living room/bedroom/bathroom/backyard or laundry? Your dreams have come true! There are definitely some cosmic forces at work because this week’s lineup is plucked straight from the clouds above. And even better, its on a Sunday!
It’s a gold rush this week as we head to regional Victoria’s centre BENDIGO for a very special portion of ISOL-AID presented by Explore Bendigo. With local venues closed, this showcase provides local talent an opportunity to present their talent to the wider world.
To begin proceedings, FOUR LIONS DUO will be bringing their intoxicating mix of roots, rock and alt-country via the influence of the Australian bush. After Four Lions warm us up, SHERRI PARRY’s other-worldly genre blended sound will take over. Rurally born and bred, musically hungry and curious, this performance will surely be a groovy one. Representing a new generation of blues, BILL BARBER started performing at age 14 and has since gone on to win the Melbourne Blues Appreciation Society International Blues Challenge that sent him to Memphis. Whilst there, Bill recorded at Sun Studios and continued to prove his chops as a future great of Aussie blues. Up next, Bendigo-based enchanting and honest folkster MARIAH McCARTHY promises a captivating experience of story-telling with her serene voice. DEAD CLAMPETS is Dean Muller from Cosmic Psychos project, so you can expect high energy and high entertainment, a western hickabilly swamp frenzy. There is nothing dead about these clampets. Do not miss them
Rustic bluesman ARCHER promises an unpretentious take on pre-war country blues as his main means of expression. A typical Archer performance provides an authentic and genuine representation of a simple music from another time.
To round out the Visit Bendigo showcase for this week’s ISOL-AID, poetic and impassioned HUCK HASTINGS will be performing and providing artful, affecting pop that will work its way under your skin.

After our regional romance, we dip back to the cityscapes for JACK COLWELL’s launch for his new EP ‘LIVE – at Golden Retriever Studios.’ The Sydney-based singer and composer has performed numerous shows around Australia including a sold-out headline appearance at the Sydney Opera House Studio with a string quartet. Were so excited to be able to showcase both Jack and the lineup in support of this wonderful EP.
Kicking off the launch will be Melbourne’s ANNA CORDELL, a powerful songwriter who takes inspiration from folk writers of the 60s and 70s like Joni Mitchell and Nick Drake as well as their contemporary counterparts, Anna creates songs that stay true to her belief in the value and power of art. Capturing the rawness of life and asking questions of joy and death, Anna has a natural flair for creation.
A Live Audience Q&A will take place after Anna with musicians MARCUS WHALE and JACK COLWELL chatting about their new releases – Jack’s EP ‘Swandream’ and Marcus’ new album ‘Lucifer’. Jack will then perform songs from his new EP live in what will be an incredible treat for ISOL-AID.
MARCUS WHALE is up right after Jack, a member of electronic pop duo Collarbones and club music trio BV (fka Black Vanilla), as well as work under his own name, releasing the album Inland Sea in 2016. Primarily forming an electronic world around his singing, these songs navigate diverse sound worlds slipping between pop, club, experimental and contemporary classical music. ANDY BULL continues the Jack Colwell selected party with his hooky, refreshing electro pop. A staple of electronic music in Australia, Andy has been performing since the early 2000s, earning his place a prolific icon. He has had tracks remixed by Todd Rundgren, supported international acts and released a bevvy of idiosyncratic gems.
To finish up Jack’s jaunt, PHEBE STARR and her sharp-focused melodies will take centre stage. Mystic and magical, Phebe’s music goes from magnetic melody to atmospheric synth barely drawing a breath.
To close up the 22nd edition of our glorious festi, former triple j unearthed winner ALI BARTER will be coiling around our souls with delicate harmonies, ramblin’ and effortless cool. A beacon for all that is special about Melbourne music, Ali’s performances don’t leave you wanting. Consider us e-clapping our hands already!

We love that our festival is free to watch, but we do ask online attendees to help support the artists if you can. 100% of whatever you donate will go directly to the Isol-Aid artists and their teams.
As you know, the loss of touring and live performance income has caused financial strain and even strife for many in our music community. Throwing in even what you’d normally pay for a beer or two at the show will make a huge difference to these acts. And we’ll be eternally grateful, too!
You can look good and feel amazing. Artist donations, merch and feel good vibes from isolaidfestival.com
We would walk 500 miles (make that 5km in Vic),

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
