Howdy there hunker-downers, here we are at our 24th edition! Like a fresh sheet mask, we are freshening up our regime with something freshly…baked. The big takeover comes courtesy of baked. The platform focuses on Australia’s music scene, providing a media platform for working Australian artists to promote their work. Filmed at the illustrious Bakehouse Studios by the baked team and presented by James Morris, the show aims to bring you further insight into Australia’s diverse and unique music scene. It’s a match made in heaven!!

Achieve enlightenment, pleasure and superior intelligence with this 10-band-step beauty regime. We start off the pamper-day with SHANNEN JAMES – one to watch who comes straight from the heart, this legend was recently a triple j Unearthed feature artist.

After a clarifying step one, we dip down to Tassie and visit KAT EDWARDS with her soulful, smokey folk. We then cruise to the Northern rivers of NSW to check out JACK BOTTS – a spinner of storytelling yarn who’s surf-drenched folk has seen him supporting bands like Pierce Brothers and The Dreggs. We detour back to Melbourne to hang out with the queen of tragi-pop ELIZABETH. An unstoppable force and songwriter whose debut album The Wonderful World Of Nature won over fans and critics alone. We expect this performance to be expectedly groundbreaking, earth-moving and transcendental as per.

Just while those nerves are raw, we check in with DIDIRRI – a remarkable singer/songwriter whose uninhibited melodies are sure to soothe our hearts and calm our heady minds. After this we check out ILUKA – a wild heart given the space to roam free with music that combines classic rock and worn in soul but tells of universal tales of hope through a modern lens. ODETTE brings her majestic, eclectic musical palette to the front of our cerebral cortexes. Up next, KVKA is a rapper who is making waves having already supported the likes of GZA, RejjieSnow & Wiki, KVKA is making a brand new name for Australian hip hop. A lot of artists claim to wear their heart on their sleeve – Australian singer-songwriter, TYNE-JAMES ORGAN, walks the walk. Born in Wollongong and based in Melbourne, the artist is garnering the attention of young fans very quickly.

We finish this week’s stacked-as-flapjacks lineup with JEROME FARAH – a rising star who made his start as a dancer and has since gone on to produce songs for Baker Boy, Adrian Eagle & Klan. Jerome is an exceptional artist in his own right with recent single ‘I Can’t Breathe’ –  a fusion of neo-soul, rap, and RnB, the track has become synonymous with the Black Lives Matter movement and has cemented Jerome as an incredibly important voice in Australian music.

So charge your phone, take the cucumbers off your eyes and let’s get it!!!!!!

We love that our festival is free to watch, but we do ask online attendees to help support the artists if you can. 100% of whatever you donate will go directly to the Isol-Aid artists and their teams.

As you know, the loss of touring and live performance income has caused financial strain and even strife for many in our music community. Throwing in even what you’d normally pay for a beer or two at the show will make a huge difference to these acts. And we’ll be eternally grateful, too!

You can look good and feel amazing. Artist donations, merch and feel good vibes from isolaidfestival.com

Keep calm and Isol-Aid,
