ISOL-AID MUSIC FESTIVAL #26
Saturday 12th September 2020

A socially (media) distanced music festival

Feat (in alphabetical order):

ANTHONIE TONNON (NZ), AYA YVES, BEL, CHAII (NZ), FRITZ, HUSKY, MERCI MERCY, MILD ORANGE (NZ), PRINCESS CHELSEA (NZ), PURPLE PILGRIMS (NZ), THE PHOENIX FOUNDATION (NZ), WAX CHATTELS (NZ), and ZENNITH

Can you believe we are 6 MONTHS YOUNG? A lot can happen in 6 months! Whether you’ve been with us from the start or you’re just tuning in, THANK YOU for bein’ a (socially distanced) friend. It’s Isol-Aid 26 and we’re going to be celebrating our 6 month birthday in style and we’d love you to join the party! Pop the mo-ey and get out the dippity bix, ISOL-AID comes live and direct to your screens once again this weekend!

We are super excited this week as were partnering up with NEW ZEALAND MUSIC – seven acts are beaming in scotty from the land of perky nana to bring us a trans-tasman extravaganza!

We’ll be kicking it up and off with ANTHONIE TONNON (NZ) – a one man band of effervescent electronica with a story to tell, this is going to be a big bang of sorts to begin this week’s proceedings. Following that we have a performance from THE PHOENIX FOUNDATION (NZ) – a prolific group of musicians who have been creating magic for many years including the soundtrack to Hunt For The Wilderpeople and scores for VR projects.

Next, CHAII (NZ) is a self-made musician, producer and audio engineer whose Persian roots influence her unfiltered flows and genre bending beats. Only DIY but succinct, this performance is going to be exciting! Self identifying as guitar-less guitar music, WAX CHATTELS (NZ) are a hypnotically sinister trio from Auckland who pair poppiness with crunch. Put the L&P on ice because PURPLE PILGRIMS (NZ) will be bringing their psychic sisterhood and wistful wanderlust dream-pop front and center. MILD ORANGE (NZ) are sun-kissed and smooth and the band comprises 4 friends who deal in optimism and warmth.

After the real-Kiwi-hours-who-up, we come back home and check in with MERCI, MERCY an artist on the incline whose pop sensibilities and knack for capturing what its like to be young and livin’ it will surely be bringing a charismatic and excellent performance. Our old mates HUSKY bring back their feverish psychedelic chill to the fest and young blood FRITZ has some fuzzy, familiar pop to serve up warm and ready. ZENNITH embraces reggae, roots & hip hop via the tropical rainforests of Kuranda in Far North Queensland to put some pep into our day. AYA YVES conquers electronic terrains with a weapon of ethereal, pop wielded and ready to go.

We round out the week with a very special performance from BEL, a Melbourne based artist with a passion for the unconventional, romantic and powerful. We are over the moon for Bel’s performance and it will be a special one.

Pop the Passiona or Passion Pop and pop along to the ISOL AID at your nearest screen :)

We love that our festival is free to watch, but we do ask online attendees to help support the artists if you can. 100% of whatever you donate will go directly to the Isol-Aid artists and their teams.

As you know, the loss of touring and live performance income has caused financial strain and even strife for many in our music community. Throwing in even what you’d normally pay for a beer or two at the show will make a huge difference to these acts. And we’ll be eternally grateful, too!

You can look good and feel amazing. Artist donations, merch and feel good vibes from isolaidfestival.com

Sip sip hooray,
