For someone who considers himself as still “new in the game”, fire and promise already burns in Melbourne-based artist Akido. The lockdown definitely ain’t stopping him from dropping his jazzy hip-hop single ‘Away’ available on all streaming platforms now, with a lyric video premiered on August 26th.
Inspired by the need for powerful words and a swing of motivation during this difficult time, Akido penned and produced this lyrical tone with melodies of slow motion. The Lofi Hip Hop feel throughout the song naturally sets a chill backdrop for the underlying message of “coming back” to make sure that we are getting through life together, after “being away in his thoughts.”
Grounded by his humble roots, Akido grew up in a troubled neighborhood with little connections. He had no other resources except for his music. Using artistry and creativity as an outlet growing up, he broke through from the hardships of his past, and hopes to inspire today’s youth to keep on pressing on, despite whatever they may be struggling with.

“To get others looking at my music and being able to reflect and cherish the lyrics as much as I do is amazing! If i am able to touch one person with my music that means more to me than anything.”—Akido
Akido considers J.Cole’s ‘03’ Adolescence’ as one of his all-time favorites, as the American Rapper speaks about what it means to be content. For so long, Akido thought happiness was measured by material things. Since he had little of them growing up, he thought he was unhappy. But the track made him realize that happiness is all about the journey and self-care. He is now sharing that light through his music.
This empowering artist is definitely one to keep an eye on. So make sure to follow his socials down below for more

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
