‘ALICIA’

Alicia Keys is a modern-day Renaissance woman — a 15-time Grammy Award-winning artist/songwriter/musician/producer, an accomplished actress, a New York Times best-selling author, a film/ television and Broadway producer an entrepreneur and a powerful force in the world of activism.
Since the release of her monumental 2001 debut album, SONGS IN A MINOR, Keys has sold over 65 million records and built an unparalleled repertoire of hits and accomplishments.
She recently sat down for a very special interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe to discuss ALICIA (below).

Most recently, Keys released her anthemic single ‘Love Looks Better’. The song – loud, passionate and unapologetically vulnerable – is a high-energy offering from Keys, who was recently crowned the most RIAA-certified R&B artist of the 21st century. The track was co-written and co-produced by Keys, along with OneRepublic front man and hit maker Ryan Tedder.
Previously, Keys joined forces with GRAMMY-nominated R&B sensation Khalid for her single ‘So Done’. ‘So Done’ followed Keys’ smash hit ‘Underdog’, which was released earlier this year. In late 2019, Keys offered the first sampling of ALICIA with ‘Show Me Love’ featuring Miguel.

The album, which shows the many sides of Alicia at this current point in time of her life journey, was also preceded by three other masterful tracks: ‘Time Machine’, a supersonic four-on-the-floor anthem about the freedom that comes with letting go; ‘Good Job’, a powerful ballad praising unsung heroes and frontline workers which premiered in April during a special COVID-19 global town hall on CNN; and the emotional ‘Perfect Way To Die’, which Keys dedicates to innocent Black lives lost due to police brutality.
The album is a counterpart piece to Keys’ New York Times Best-selling book More Myself: A Journey, which was released in March as the first title on Oprah’s new imprint with Flatiron Books.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
