Future disco duo Fancy Feelings produce a fresh feeling hit with ‘Future feat. Zeeba’ their debut track as part of Sunset Mesa Records, the new label from the founders of Sweat It Out. The single stays true to the ethos of Sunset Mesa, emanating that deeply soul-soothing moment of looking out at the ocean, watching the sunset as the night begins to take over. ‘Future feat. Zeeba’ is peppered with recorded flutes, saxophone, synths and drums, to ensure a groove-laden masterpiece. Combined with the unbelievable reggae-infused vocals of Brazilian-American Zeeba, whose sweet melodies have been streamed over a billion times, ensuring that ‘Future’ is a sun-soaked, radio-ready hit.
One half of the duo, Oli Chang talked of the premise behind the new single, “It was a sweltering day in Williamsburg Brooklyn last summer – the summer before COVID. Zeeba came by my studio and we bashed out this tune. Lyrically we wanted to make a song that makes people feel ok about resisting the status quo of what “normal” is. We think the world could be a better place if we embraced what felt natural – no matter how much it upset herd-like thinking.”

On how ‘Future’ evolved and became a disco-infused production, Chang said, “After Zeeba and I made an electro version of the song I sent it to my talented buddy Zac from Fancy Colors. We chatted and decided to make it a disco jam. Zac layered lavish guitars, flutes, synths and basses all over it. We chopped it up and with a little production help from Zac’s cousin Dean Reid (whose production and mix engineering credits include Lana Del Rey’s latest album as well as Dua Lipa and Alessia Cara) ended up with what we have today.”
Fancy Feelings is the Brooklyn-based collaboration of Oli Chang (Animal Feelings) and Zac Colwell (Fancy Colors). Oli Chang, who featured in iconic dream-pop band High Highs, has a knack of creating modern-classics for dance ensembles, while his ventures as Animal Feelings has seen him produce hit tracks such as ‘Falling’ that has amassed over 2 million streams across platforms. Zac Colwell was part of psychedelic pop legends of Montreal and is an award-winning composer with a skill for writing commercials for high-end companies such as Porsche. Together they combined forces as Fancy Feelings whose rise to prominence came through the release of their EP ‘Summer of Love’, which featured hits ‘Lush feat. Mammals’ and ‘Nyla feat. Anya Marina’, garnering over 150,000 and 500,000 streams across platforms respectively. The duo have received support from industry tastemakers such as Purple Sneakers, CULTR, Acid Stag, and Sidekick Music, who have commended their ability to produce tracks perfect for summertime playlists.
Fancy Feelings have united with world-renowned singer/songwriter Zeeba, who claims the accolade of being the most heard Brazilian voice in the world. Zeeba has accumulated over 1 billion streams across platforms, with tracks such as ‘Ocean’, ‘Never Let Go’ both topping the 100 million stream mark and most famously his hit ‘Hear Me Now’, a collaboration with DJs Alok and Bruno Martini, gaining over 800 million streams across platforms and receiving Platinum certification in Brazil, Denmark and Italy. One of the most famous Brazilian names in the world with an ever-growing social media presence, Zeeba has performed in stages across the world in the likes of the USA, Canada, Sweden, Italy, France, Argentina, Mexico and China. His authentic indie folk stylings lend itself perfectly to his collaboration with Fancy Feelings ensuring ‘Future’ is another guaranteed hit.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
