Today Joesef shares his second EP Does It Make You Feel Good via AWAL. To mark the release, the prodigious 25-year-old Glaswegian shares the vibrant title track and new single, alongside a captivating visual accompaniment.
The songs on his new EP were written after Joesef got back together and consequently broke up with the subject of his debut EP. The title track is a perfect slice of emotive soul-pop, whilst closing track Comedown is a soothing ballad that sees Joesef’s harmonies complemented with strings; the perfect summation of the record.
Speaking about the new EP, Joesef explains, “This EP draws a line under a relationship that I’ve written about in Play Me Something Nice – if that EP felt more hopeful, this is the end game. The bitterness, and the lies that stem from fading love, to the aftermath of dealing with loss and regret, and finally taking responsibility for my own actions. I don’t really give much away ever, so it will always make me feel uncomfortable sharing such personal aspects of my life, but maybe if it can help me work some shit out, it could help somebody else too.”
Using self-taught skills, Joesef remains wilfully DIY, producing all his own music in his flat in Glasgow’s working class East End and in the space of three years has gone from working in a pub in his hometown of Glasgow to releasing a plethora of heartfelt music that has gained him dedicated fanbase across the globe.
Joesef’s poignant lyrics and catchy hooks have garnered him support from the likes of Mark Ronson and Sam Smith through to BBC Radio 1’s Annie Mac, Nick Grimshaw, Clara Amfo. Loyle Carner is the latest to reveal himself as a fan who featured on Joesef’s latest single I Wonder Why.
Joesef spent much of 2019 touring the UK and Europe, seeing him sell out venues across the continent including headline shows at London’s Oslo and Glasgow’s famous SWG3. Joesef will continue to spellbind fans with a new run of shows next year.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
