Blu DeTiger, multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, producer, DJ, performer and bass virtuoso, has revealed the music video for her newly released single, ‘Cotton Candy Lemonade’. Watch it here. Directed by Sacred Pact, the dreamy visual showcases Blu’s enviable bass skills and follows the young artist meandering around New York City and riding on a motorcycle under a cotton candy sky into the unknown.
Written during quarantine, ‘Cotton Candy Lemonade’ grooves with Blu’s hypnotic vocal, blended seamlessly with her preeminent bass skills. Blu explores what it means to get lost, toying with the idea of leaving the rest of the world behind with your perfect someone. Gaining traction wth each passing day, ‘Cotton Candy Lemonade’ is already taking over TikTok, and receiving plays on Apple’s Beats 1 and BBC’s Radio 1.
‘Cotton Candy Lemonade’ follows Blu’s ‘Figure It Out’, her single from April this year which erupted on Spotify in over 30 countries and has accumulated more than 20 million streams to date. The song also went viral on TikTok amassing half a million videos made with the song and received posts from the likes of Dixie D’Amelio and Hannah Stocking.
Born and raised in New York City, Blu has been slaying on the bass guitar since the tender age of seven. Not even legally old enough for clubs, Blu has been a staple in the New York club, fashion, and creative scenes since she started DJing at 17. As of 2020, Blu’s been a touring member for multiple artists including Caroline Polachek, Fletcher, The Knocks and more. She’s DJ’d internationally and walked in Kid Super’s NYFW show. Her single ‘Tangerine’ distinguished her from the rest with her art pop funky flair.
With a body of work due in early 2021, expect plenty more music and content to feed her ever-growing fanbase.
