THE LINE UP – ALPHABETICALLY

ChillinIT:
During an unpredictable 2020 he’s released two ARIA chart topping releases, acclaimed sophomore album ‘The Octagon’ (#2) and his latest mixtape ‘Full Circle’ (#3) which delivered blockbuster link up ’Stand For’ featuring Lisi, the #1 video on Youtube Australia upon its release.   Having cut his teeth in Sydney’s underground hip-hop scene, Chillinit’s debut album ‘Women, Weed & Wordplay’ was released in late 2018. The independently released album has racked up over 100 million streams, sold out shows nationwide and produced multiple ARIA Gold & Platinum singles.

CHOOMBA:
Right on cue for 2019 Choomba came out of the gate with a debut EP that hit  #4 on the overall Beatport Release Chart, #2 on the hyper competitive Tech-House Chart, came in at #36 on Australia’s overall Shazam Chart  and saw them up for the Triple J Unearthed feature artist spotlight. A solid showing for a self released debut EP. The follow up single Wantchu took that momentum even further, being spot added to Triple J and pushing the act into a whirlwind festival run.

Cosmo’s Midnight:
At the top end of 2017, Cosmo’s Midnight released ‘History’ which became the most played track on triple j that year. The duo’s international escapades earned praise from global publications including Billboard and Complex, priming them for their debut album What Comes Next in 2018. Upon release, the album cracked the Top 40 on the ARIA charts, and was crowned the ‘Album of the Week’ by both triple j and FBi Radio.
With their new album Yesteryear, Cosmo’s Midnight find their own unique blend of digital and organic sounds, funnelling their beat-making history into a heavier emphasis on instrumentation. Lead single ‘C.U.D.I’ has already been certified Gold, also marking their debut entry in the Hottest 100.

Eves Karydas:
Earlier this year Eves returned with her first new single in two years, ‘Complicated’, which was inspired by her grandfather and Greek heritage. The track broke through commercially going ATB at Nova, Hit and KIIS FM nationally. It also went on to be the #1 Most Played track on triple j and has tracked well over 3.5 million streams across DSPs. The mammoth single peaked at #5 on the Shazam Chart and #17 on the National Radio Chart, scored placement in BBC Radio 1’s Best New Pop playlist and featured in hit US TV show The Bold Type.

Golden Features:
Having amassed over 120 million global streams, one platinum and four gold records to his name, Golden Features is undoubtedly one of Australia’s premier electronic acts. Golden Features became a firm favourite in his home country, selling out his 2015 national tour. The debut album SECT arrived in 2018, almost two years after his previous release.. The album reached #1 on the Itunes Charts and also nabbed the coveted triple j feature album.

Godlands:
Less than a year into the Godlands project, the producer has torn up the scene and carved a name for herself in the ever-changing electronic landscape. Her reputation on the decks preceding her, she has already touched down at Groovin’ The Moo, Party in the Paddock and Touch Bass this year, unveiling a jaw-dropping new visual show to fans throughout Australia, New Zealand and Japan.

Lastlings:
Having just released their debut album, the aptly-titled First Contact, the pair are entering into their new chapter with grand support. Championed by fellow Australian superstars RÜFÜS DU SOL, Lastlings have also been warmly welcomed to the band’s own label, Rose Avenue and toured alongside the band at iconic venues like Colorado’s Red Rocks and the Los Angeles State Historic Park. They are recognized and lauded by industry-defining platforms like Billboard, NME and Mixmag and featured within the pages of cultural paragons like Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Paper, Flaunt, and W Magazine.

Lime Cordiale:
Lime Cordiale’s infectious performances and genuine interactions with their fans has made them one of Australia’s buzziest bands. It’s a fact that was reflected in July when they scored their first #1 album on the ARIA Charts with 14 Steps to a Better You, have recently been nominated for 8 x ARIAS and won triple j’s Album Of The Year in the coveted J Awards. Earlier this year, Lime Cordiale was the only act to have four songs under 40 in triple j’s hottest 100 of 2019 — a feat that not even Billie Eilish could pull off. It’s been an incredible 2020 so far for the Sydney duo.

LUUDE:
Christian Benson aka Luude has quickly risen to the forefront of a new wave of producers coming out of Australia. An artist who has consistently evolved and found success across multiple genres. This year he simultaneously launched the side project Choomba which came out the gate a wild success, racking up millions of streams, global radio support and extensive festival touring within its first 6 months.

SAFIA:
First formed in 2012, Canberra trio SAFIA shot to public attention after winning the triple j Unearthed Groovin The Moo competition, and gained international attention with breakout single ‘Listen to Soul, Listen to Blues’. The band followed it up with ‘Counting Sheep’, which has since amassed a cult following. Their debut album ‘Internal’ shot to #2 on the ARIA chart in 2016 and includes Gold singles ‘Make Them Wheels Roll’ and ‘Embracing Me’.

Sophiegrophy:
Fresh off the back of brand new single ‘Drehpehs’, the Australian based, Nigerian born and New Zealand raised artist currently making massive strides in the world of New Wave Hip Hop & underground Club Culture. After landing an artist feature in ID Magazine with the release of her debut mixtape (“PURPULARITY”, 2017), things have been rapidly progressing for Sophiegrophy, releasing her Sophomore EP ‘BOLD’ earlier this year.

Spacey Jane:
Spacey Jane started 2020 with a bang – January saw “Good For You” voted #80 in triple j’s highly coveted Hottest 100 countdown. February saw them join the likes of The 1975 and Charlie XCX on the Laneway Festival national tour. The band released their debut full length album Sunlight in June, which reached #2 on the ARIA album charts and was nominated for a J Award for Album of the Year, a mean feat to jump from an Unearthed nomination to this accolade within the course of a year!

Sycco:
Following on from huge single ‘Dribble’, Sycco’s latest single ‘Germ’ has just been added to full rotation on triple j. 19 year old Sycco demands attention for her soulful voice, observant lyrics, psychedelic jazz aura and undeniable charisma.

The Veronicas:
With Ten top 10 hits, 3 x Number Ones, 500 million+ streams, ARIA Awards and more than 175 million Youtube/VEVO streams and 3.5 million social connections The Veronicas are unstoppable.Jessica and Lisa Origliasso, twin girls born on Christmas Day, were teenagers when they moved to LA, signed a record deal and released their first album. A second album followed. Hook Me Up the lead single shot straight to Number One and was quickly followed by the iconic worldwide hit Untouched (which became the first Australian single to sell more than a million copies digitally in the USA).

Torren Foot:
ARIA nominated Torren Foot has recently gained international attention following the release of ‘More Life’ topping #1 Beatport overall, 6 million+ streams as well as spins from tastemakers Adam Beyer, Claptone, Mat.Joe & Wax Motif. Not to mention A-list radio support from Triple J Australia and international support including BBC Radio 1 UK, SiriusXM, Studio Brussels, KCRW LA, SLAM FM & 538 NL.

Triple One:
Having accumulated serious underground buzz for years, 2018 was the year that Triple One broke into Australian mainstream consciousness. Their singles ‘Showoff’, ‘Tarlo’ and ‘Valentine Kid’ were added to high rotation on triple j and they were also profiled by Complex, GQ and Highsnobiety. Similarly, their 2019 single ‘Butter’ also dominated radio airwaves, leading to the group’s debut UK/European tour and five sold-out shows across Australia.

What So Not:
With the release of his debut project Not All the Beautiful Things in 2018, What So Not cemented his place as one of the most ambitious and visionary producers in the game. Collaborating with the likes of Skrillex, Slumberjack, and San Holo, What So Not garnered praise from outlets like NYLON and YourEDM. What So Not has been streamed over 760 million times and has played shows and festivals spanning 45 countries and 4 continents. Anthems like “High You Are” and “Gemini” are just the beginning.

Willaris. K:
Willaris. K creates moments to catch your breath, dance, forget , exalt, reflect and/or draft a text to an ex. From techno to electronica, punk and metal, Willaris. K is drawn to the melodrama and melodic craftsmanship of artists like Seekae, Jon Hopkins and Shlohmo, but never straying too far from being the kid listening to Rage Against the Machine on the school bus. Praise for WILDLANDS

“In this festival climate, you’d have to be incredibly brave, a little reckless and perhaps even a little mad to try and launch a new event and think it will be successful. Despite all odds, Brisbane newcomer Wildlands did just that and they did it virtually flawlessly.”– Music Feeds

“Wildlands, you were an absolute blast. With hopes for this to be an annual event, Wildlands was your typical, fun Aussie one-day festival. Good vibes, great acts, and an all-round excellent day.” – The Music
