The event will take place to an exclusive live audience at the iconic Ritz Cinema in Randwick while audiences from home can tune in to a live stream via the world’s leading interactive livestream platform, Maestro at clippedfestival.com.
“2020 hasn’t been what anyone could have expected and we’ve had to tweak what the Festival looks like to fit into this new world we’re all living in,” said Festival Director Sam Bright. “The 2020 Festival is a hybrid event of sorts, where we can still celebrate and award the very best music videos from the past year, but do so in a way that’s safe. As we’re the only platform focused on giving music video creators the recognition they deserve, if we weren’t to hold this event sadly nobody else would”
Benji Tamir, Operations Manager, The Ritz Cinema shares “It’s really exciting to be working with the team at CLIPPED for the first time to present this year’s festival, especially considering the year we’ve all had. The Ritz is a great fit for CLIPPED as it is home to many Sydney cultural and artistic events and festivals. The Ritz is a Sydney Icon and no better place to host such an exciting and vibrant festival such as CLIPPED. We’re looking forward to celebrating 5 years of CLIPPED!”
The festival will begin at 5pm on Saturday 5 December, with the world first launch of a CLIPPED Online Music Video Channel, through Maestro. With a nod to rage, CLIPPED will curate a program of amazing clips from this year’s festival entries, interviews with the creators and behind the scenes footage.
Over the last 5 years CLIPPED have been at the forefront in championing and promoting the Australian music video community, an often-overlooked yet essential part of the film and music industry. Having developed a strong reputation in pioneering opportunities to showcase work both on the big screen or via CLIPPED.TV their media publication, CLIPPED has become the premier curator in Australia by recognising quality music videos and giving platform to the creators. To date the annual CLIPPED Music Video Awards have given away close to $100,000 in prizes and cash presenting 60+ awards which is crucial to the community.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
