Multi-platinum selling Australian music icons, The Veronicas AKA Jessica and Lisa Origliasso today announce they will release not one but two new studio albums – GODZILLA on Friday May 28th, followed by HUMAN on Friday July 2nd.
The first single from GODZILLA, the ferocious title track, is available now.

These highly anticipated new studio albums from The Veronicas sonically highlight two different sides of the infamous twins – the public alter egos on GODZILLA and the vulnerable songwriters on HUMAN – that the pair have been known for throughout their nearly 15 year career.
Released first on Friday May 28th, GODZILLA sees the re-emergence of the writing trinity of Toby Gad, Lisa Origliasso and Jessica Origliasso for the first time since The Veronicas’ international hit ‘Untouched’.
“We all create without limitations,” Jess and Lisa say of the writing partnership. “Throwing our deepest ideas at each other and following it to wherever it takes us. We focus heavily on the sonic layers of guitars and synth first. Toby allows us to melt genres together in a way we don’t get to with anyone else. We all create without any preconceived notion of what we are going to walk away with.”
The title track starts with guitars reminiscent of an early Silverchair record and synths straight out of a mid-90s science fiction action film. It’s an unforgettable track that sets the tone for the GODZILLA album and reminds us that The Veronicas are one the most dynamic and re-inventive faces of pop music for the past 15 years.
Today the twins have also announced their first national tour in six years, GODZILLA V HUMAN. Set to take Australia by storm from June 3, the month-long tour across 12 cities will see the pop duo perform a string of shows across the nation in what promises to be their most spectacular concert yet. Similar to the albums, the show will be split into two parts – GODZILLA will be a high energy introduction into the alter ego of the pop stars, and HUMAN will see Lisa and Jess strip it all back to their more vulnerable singer/songwriter roots. The duality of the show promises fans uniquely intimate access into the journey of becoming one of Australia – and the world’s – most commanding pop stars.
The two new albums and tour mark the next chapter in an extraordinary alternative pop career, throughout which The Veronicas have cemented their place as bona fide pop culture icons.
Beloved by audiences from all walks of life, and after recently becoming the must-see darlings of the festival circuit, The Veronicas’ achievements so far speak for themselves: they’ve achieved Double Platinum status in the USA and hits all over the globe; have had 9 top 10 hits in Australia including three #1s; several multi-platinum singles including ‘Hook Me Up’, ‘Untouched’, ‘You Ruin Me’ and ‘In My Blood’; over half a billion streams; 175 million YouTube/Vevo views and 3.5 million social connections.
The duo recently released their own ethical perfume brand, Untouched, launched their fashion collaboration with Jagger and Stone and starred in their very own MTV produced reality show Blood Is For Life and will appear in the coming months on Nine’s Celebrity Apprentice.
