Fresh from sharing new single ‘Void’ and announcing his hotly anticipated album, Drinking With My Smoking Friends, ALLDAY today reveals details of the support acts for his upcoming national album tour.
Joining Allday for the entire lap across the country is Adelaide-native, George Alice. With triple j Unearthed High winning debut single ‘Circles’ in her stride along with follow up track, ‘Stuck in a Bubble’, 2020 marked a big year for the 17 year old who managed to climb to #1 on Australia’s Viral Chart. Having clocked over 10 million global streams, she’s covered Spotify’s Pop n’ Fresh and The Local List, and also picked up a spin from Sir Elton John on his ROCKET HOUR show on Apple Music 1. It’s been a whirlwind career kick off for the unfairly talented teen.
Also coming along for the ride is Tweed shire’s, JK-47. You may know him as the 2020 Triple J Unearthed Artist of the Year, or from his recent Like A Version where he offered his take on the huge 2pac classic, ‘Changes’. Writing rhymes and rapping since he was just fourteen, he’s mastered the ability to put pen to pad and produce timeless lyrics painting pictures with his music. Championed by Rolling Stone Australia, NME Australia and Acclaim Magazine, among others, his debut full length scored the coveted feature album on triple j upon release. There’s no denying the Indigenous talent is a force to be reckoned with.
As previously announced, Allday will share his fourth studio album Drinking With My Smoking Friends on 28 May via Allday Music / Believe. Marking a significant shift in genre, the record integrates more guitar-driven pop sounds and captures evocative snippets of life from the “extended youth” he found himself experiencing when he returned home, relocating to Melbourne after being based in LA for several years. The ten-track collection features ‘After All This Time’ and latest single ‘Void’, which premiered on triple j and earned plaudits with his cult following.
The Drinking With My Smoking Friends Tour kicks off in August and will stop by venues in Perth, Sydney, Adelaide, Melbourne and Brisbane. Tickets to all shows are on sale now via alldaytunes.com
