London-based artist Leo Bhanji shares his EP BIRTH VIDEOS, along with his new single ‘Damaged’, via Dirty Hit. The self-produced, genre blending BIRTH VIDEOS also features previous single ‘Raw’, which received support from Pitchfork in their Pitchfork Selects playlist and is Leo’s first long form offering in 2021. Speaking about the EP, Leo explains “the EP is called ‘Birth Videos’ because it’s a funny image to me, the proud parent or whoever trying to capture the moment on camera – I can’t imagine wanting to rewatch that, but it’s hard to trust your memory to get the important parts”.
Leo marks the release of his EP with a video for ‘Damaged’, shot and directed by Sam Hiscox (Rex Orange County, Celeste, Rejjie Snow)
On ‘Damaged’, Leo says: “Damaged feels like a meditation to me where the song elements get turned around and looked at from different angles; it’s not very intentional how it comes together & i guess doesn’t really hide its workings.”

The new music follows his debut EP NO GUARD, a defiant statement of intent from the rising star released last year in the height of lockdown. The project included standout single ‘Blade of Hope’, which was playlisted by BBC Radio 1.
Leo Bhanji was born in LA and resides in London, where he produces songs from his bedroom. Previous singles ‘Heart of Gold’, ‘Nope!’ and ‘Blood & Guts’ released in 2019 drew the attention of Dirty Hit, as well as the likes of BBC Radio 1Xtra, BBC Introducing, Complex, Highsnobiety, Pigeons and Planes, Dummy, Clash, and more. His work last year with NO GUARD and stand alone single ‘Heathers’ cemented Leo as one of the UK’s most exciting artists.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
