Rhythmic electronica 3-piece MCP are set to release new cinematic sensation and a twisted music video to complete the bands 4th release, which came out in April…

Back with a fourth single release, Sydney based trio (MCP) are determined to remain trapped in the future, in search for the new sound of progressive electronica. After the release of the bands 3rd single Nightcrawler in February earlier this year, MCP will also be releasing a new music video. This will mark the second video released by the band. Created by Arron Millikin, the video starts in an outdoor basketball court in Sydney, where a mysterious jar filled with “FREE WEED” is actually in a blockhole that teleports its victims to another word.  The weed jar was actually found in the back streets of Newtown during covid lock one day as the band was heading to the local sushi joint. Right there, on the sidewalk alley behind King street was a large jam jar filled with bush weed with a handmade sign on it that said “FREE WEED”. “As soon as we saw the jar, and released what it was, we imminently started thinking how the hell we can turn this into a music video, about a month later Arron moulded the ideas into an animation and the end result is the video for The Nothing” says Synth player James McKenna. “The Nothing” was written during the peak of the Global Pandemic and really captures the mood of the city at that time, and the feeling of being alone and in isolation. The Artwork for the song was created by Nick Potts.

So what’s next for MCP?   The Band will prepare for the final 2 single release to complete the sextuplet of release over the past two years. In additional a limited Vinyl will be released of the 6 songs. After that a 3 track EP of songs to be played AFTER MIDNIGHT.
