Panamanian-native singer/songwriter Sofía Valdés today releases the deluxe edition of Ventura (extended), an expanded version of her debut EP released earlier this year on Warner Records. Featuring the new song “Silhouette,” a Spanish version of “Amsterdam” and two dance-worthy remixes, the EP proves even further that Sofía’s rise is only just beginning. Australian producer Ta-ku’s reinterpretation of the standout single “Handful of Water, ” and The Kount’s remix of “Oceans Away, ” both deliver the essence of summer through synthy dance jams. And of course, Sofía’s soft and effortless vocals, poetic bi-lingual lyricism, and classic acoustic instrumentation cut directly to the heart. There is a sound, feeling, and memory to explore on every track of Sofía’s deluxe version of Ventura.
Despite only being 20-years-old, Sofía crafts transcendent, emotionally charged music in a way that typically would take decades of experience and exploration to successfully compose. From writing lyrics during recess and laying down chords in her dorm room, Sofía has allowed for her material to transform into something effortlessly raw and beautifully expressive–perfectly encapsulating what it means to be a young woman simply figuring life’s incredible journey. Her story was heard far and wide, ultimately landing her praise from press such as W Magazine, Interview Magazine, V Magazine, ColorsxStudio, and more upon her debut EP Ventura release.
She also made her digital debut at Sundance Film Festival in January, performing at their 2021 official music event, Sound & Vision, and performing a set for NPR “World Cafe” from her home in Panama. She was recently confirmed for her debut US festival lineup for Outside Lands taking place in San Francisco, CA in late October 2021, Lollapalooza taking place in Chicago, IL in late July 2021 and Austin City Limits taking place in Austin, TX in October 2021.
With the world at her feet, this proves to be just the beginning for Sofía Valdés and her timeless production. Listen to Ventura (extended)now and stay tuned for more news coming soon!

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
