BASEMENT LEAGUE
announce new single
‘INSOMNIA’
.
.
Fresh off the back of releasing their latest single, ‘Rein Me In’, Basement League are following up with another track. The second and final single off the band’s debut EP ‘Better Nights//Better Days’, Basement League set out to warm the hearts of their listeners with a sedate, soul-stirring offering in ‘Insomnia’ which is set to release on Friday, May 28th.
Depicting a familiar feeling of growing up, ‘Insomnia’ focuses on an individual’s change of perceptions. Vocalist Cameron Percival explains, “Insomnia discusses the journey of realising life at home isn’t what it used to be. It’s covered in a veil of youth and as you grow up your perception morphs and you see that, ultimately, families are collections of individuals with their own needs and dreams and, unfortunately, they don’t always align”.
With sweeping, intertwining melodies from Cameron and Izaak, hooking lead guitars and a heavenly string quartet, ‘Insomnia’ brings a dramatic-yet-harmonious vibe; very much varying from the Pop-Punk infused single, ‘Rein Me In’. Displaying maturity and confidence, Basement League aim to captivate a global audience inside and outside of their natural Alternative Rock/Pop-Punk genres to provide a track that listeners can connect with on a personal level.
The second iteration in a new era for Basement League, ‘Insomnia’ releases in accompaniment with a story-telling music video directed by Theodore Swaddling. A performance/story video, the feature follows an individual whilst portraying the struggles they deal with throughout their daily life.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
