Singles Highlights:
#1: Olivia Rodrigo ‘Good 4 U’ – American singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo notches up her third week at #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart with ‘Good 4 U’. This week, ‘Favorite Crime’ debuts at #13, making it the eleventh track from Rodrigo’s SOUR album to occupy the ARIA Top 50.
#18: Billie Eilish ‘Lost Cause’ – Billie Eilish scores the week’s second-highest debut at #18 with ‘Lost Cause’. It’s the fourth single to chart from the American’s forthcoming Happier Than Ever album after ‘My Future’ (#3 Aug. ’20), ‘Therefore I Am’ (#3 Nov. ’20) and ‘Your Power’ (#9 May ’21). Happier Than Ever is released on 30 July.
#32: Vance Joy ‘Missing Piece’ – In its third week in the Top 50, Vance Joy’s ‘Missing Piece’ jumps up twelve spots to claim a new peak at #32. The Melbourne singer-songwriter’s last appearance inside the Top 40 was with ‘We’re Going Home’ (#16 Mar. ’18).
#48: Dean Lewis ‘Falling Up’ – Sydney singer-songwriter Dean Lewis makes his first appearance in the ARIA Top 50 in two years as he debuts at #48 with ‘Falling Up’. The track is the lead single from Lewis’ forthcoming second album, the follow-up to the ARIA Award-winning A Place We Knew (#1 Apr. ’19). Lewis last charted with ‘Stay Awake’ (#26 Apr. ’19).
#50: Marshmello & Jonas Brothers ‘Leave Before You Love Me’ – Debuting at #50, American producer Marshmello and pop trio the Jonas Brothers unite for the new single ‘Leave Before You Love Me’. It’s the first Singles Chart entry for the Jonas Brothers since ‘What A Man Gotta Do’ (# 22 Feb. ’20). Marshmello last charted with his collaboration with Demi Lovato, ‘OK Not to Be OK’ (#47 Sept. ’20).

Albums Highlights:
#1: Olivia Rodrigo ‘SOUR’ – Olivia Rodrigo’s SOUR holds #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart for a third straight week. The American singer-songwriter has eleven tracks in this week’s Singles Chart Top 50 with ‘Favorite Crime’ debuting at #13.
#2: Crowded House ‘Dreamers Are Waiting’ – Crowded House score their ninth Top Ten album on the ARIA Charts as they return with Dreamers Are Waiting. It’s the seventh studio album from the beloved Trans-Tasman band and their first in eleven years. The follow-up to Intriguer (#1 Jun. ‘10) features a reconstituted line-up of the band; founding members Neil Finn and Nick Seymour are joined by Finn’s sons Liam and Elroy, as well as Mitchell Froom (keyboardist and producer of the band’s first three albums). Between albums, Crowded House were inducted into the ARIA Hall Of Fame in 2016, coinciding with four shows on the Sydney Opera House forecourt.
#4: Rise Against ‘Nowhere Generation’ – American punk band Rise Against take out their fifth Top Ten album with Nowhere Generation. The group’s first album in four years is their ninth studio album. Between Wolves (#5 Jun. ’17) and Nowhere Generation, the band released The Ghost Note Symphonies, Vol. 1 in 2018, which reimagined tracks from their catalogue.
#5: The Avalanches ‘Since I Left You’ – Since I Left You, the debut album from Melbourne act The Avalanches, hits the ARIA Top Ten for the very first time following a reissue to mark its 20th Anniversary. First hitting the chart at #29 in December 2000, the album earned the group four ARIA Awards in 2001 including Best Dance Release and Producer Of The Year. It hit its previous Albums Chart peak of #15 in February 2017 following a release on vinyl. The 20th Anniversary Edition includes bonus discs with remixes by the likes of MF Doom, Stereolab, Cornelius, Prince Paul and more. Since I Left You hits #1 on this week’s ARIA Vinyl Albums Chart.
#8: Taylor Swift ‘evermore’ – Taylor Swift’s evermore jumps back into the Top Ten for a twelfth week, hitting #8. The move comes following the release of the album on vinyl. Released in December 2020, evermore spent four straight weeks at #1.
#9: Wolf Alice ‘Blue Weekend’ – British indie trio Wolf Alice grab a new career charts peak as they debut at #9 with Blue Weekend. The follow-up to 2017’s Visions Of A Life is the band’s first Top 50 entry since their debut, My Love Is Cool (#41 Jun. ’15).
