“With that laid-back guitar line, the Arctic’s vibe in the delivery, and the psych tinges here and there, how could you not love it.” – Richard Kingsmill
“It’s a spacey, colourful gem which is to be expected, but there’s also a restraint and a touch of 70s soft rock in there too.”– Declan Byrne, Home & Hosed
“This band doesn’t slow down! After dropping their first record in 2020 they’re already giving us new music. We’re not worthy! I love how they’re embracing their melodic and proggy side more and more here while it still feels like a big DBD sing-along.” – Dave Ruby Howe, Unearthed

Indie four-piece Death by Denim have today delivered the follow-up clip to brand-new single ‘Small World’; a Wes-Anderson inspired, technicolour dream, reminiscent of your favourite acid trip, which premiered on Pilerats.
The group have teamed up with the creative minds of Garreth Pearse and Daniel Hildebrand (Rare Bird Co) for the artwork and official music video to accompany the track.
“Approaching this music video, I found myself focusing on the feeling of isolation and the sense of invisibility that the band had written about,’ says director Daniel Hildebrand. ‘To match the visuals to the upbeat track, I wanted the shots to have a bright and vivid look while still exploring a range of lonesome emotions. I took a stylized Wes Anderson approaching while setting up my frames to create a comfortable shot for the eye to sit in.’
Lead guitarist & songwriter Palle Mazzulla says of the track: “I’m in my room, my bank account is quite low, I’m cut up over a relationship ending, lacking self-esteem, a bit sick and just generally trying to figure out what I’m doing with my life. Things haven’t gone the way I wanted in certain areas – so I wrote this song. ‘I am very fortunate that my problems don’t compare to what’s going on in the world right now thanks to the pandemic, but they still feel heavy.”
‘Small World’ is the band’s first release of 2021 and showcases a step up in emotional maturity for the group. Tapping into feelings of social anxiety and inadequacy, the song explores the crushing weight that a failure to confront personal issues can have on a person’s psyche.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
