Last night at the 32nd annual Pollstar Awards Coachella Festival was named ‘‘MUSIC FESTIVAL OF THE DECADE’.

Festival Director Peter Noble OAM is still smiling though and gracious in defeat:
“I’d like to congratulate Coachella on being named ‘Music Festival of the Decade’. Just to be nominated in such illustrious company as our fellow nominees Coachella, Glastonbury (UK), Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival, Lollapalooza USA & Brazil, Austin City Limits, Bonnaroo, Electric Daisy and Corona Capital festivals (Mexico) is honour enough. To be recognised globally by our peers and to be nominated here and therefore ranking us in the Top Ten festivals worldwide makes me both proud and humble.”

“To every artist who has stepped on to our stage – to every volunteer, supplier, stallholder, production crew, every ticket buyer … and to our permanent and casual team who work all year round to co-ordinate our festival I tip my hat and salute you. This nomination belongs to you all – each and every one of you – and I am looking forward to celebrating this achievement in just a few weeks’ time at our October Edition of Bluesfest. Bluesfest: The October Edition will take place over 4 days from Friday 1st October to Monday 4th October 2021 at the Byron Events Farm, Tyagarah, NSW, AUSTRALIA, with headline performances from Midnight Oil, Paul Kelly, Tash Sultana, Jimmy Barnes and Pete Murray.
