Shiralee Coleman and Daniel Tonik release their newly anticipated track: ‘DESIRE.’ When Shiralee and Daniel first started working on their new release, they envisioned that the storyline for the track was about exactly as the title suggests: DESIRE. It focuses on that one person that we all have in our mind. The music matches the build-up, the emotion and the anticipation that you feel in this situation. The track is a hybrid melodic house x dance track, and it tells a story of heartbreak, lust, love and desire.
Shiralee Coleman first heard of Daniel Tonik when she was listening to ‘The Party Life Radio Show,’ where his song ‘Retrospect’ was featured as ‘Track of the Week.’ Falling in love instantly with both the sound and the lyrics, she knew she had to hear more. Shiralee and Daniel met soon after and this was the start of the collaboration for ‘Desire.’ Since DJing together on Seadeck and their strong music connection, the pair started working on ‘Desire’ in December 2020. Daniel Tonik, is an active DJ/Producer in the underground rave scene. He is most known for his hypnotic sound that takes the listener on a journey – a combination of progressive and techno, paying homage to the sunrise parties in Europe, which is well documented in his iconic ‘Daybreak’ EP.
Popular Singer and Songwriter from Sydney, Sammi Constantine, has added her magic to ‘DESIRE’ with an incredibly emotive vocal, that truly captures the feeling and intensity behind this story.
‘Pumping Records’ is excited to release ‘DESIRE’ as their 4th track, since establishing as Newcastle’s newest record label. This will be the second single for Shiralee Coleman, following the success of ‘Can You Feel It’ in the ARIA Club chart earlier this year.
‘DESIRE’ was exclusively played for the first time by Shiralee and Daniel at the ‘Facon Magazine Launch’ recently in the Hunter Valley, hosted by Lisa McGuigan Wines at Vamp. Shiralee was featured on the cover of the Facon winter issue, with her story REMIXED front and centre, telling in detail her love of music and rise to becoming a DJ. The event was the perfect way to introduce the new track to the world.
