Indie-pop expert Eves Karydas today shares her latest single ‘Lemonade’. Premiered via triple j, and written during a pre-Covid summer writing trip to London and Stockholm (the same trip that produced hits ‘Complicated’ and ‘Get Me So High’) with The 23rd (Sigrid, Hailee Steinfield) and Plested, (Lewis Capaldi, Niall Horan, Anne Marie) the glistening new cut details the duality of feelings experienced at the end of a relationship, with Eves sounding powerful but playful, self-assured but still vulnerable.
Watch the summer-ready video directed by Natalie Sim (Method to My Madness) also out today HERE.

Of the track, Eves Karydas shares: “The lyric “Well I didn’t want to write an FU song…” pretty much sums up Lemonade. It’s about reaching the end of my limit and being super frustrated with how a relationship panned out. I wanted to explore the delicate feeling of playing it cool and moving on but also allowing myself to feel let down. That, plus I just really like lemonade.”
Eves is also excited to share details of her forthcoming Reruns EP, out 24 September via Dew Process. Written in London, Stockholm and Eves’ native Brisbane over the past 18 months, the 6 track EP neatly establishes her as one of the country’s finest pop talents. Pre-order/Pre-save HERE.
It was mid 2020 when Eves Karydas shared the irresistibly catchy ‘Complicated’. The track went global, accumulating millions of streams, breaking through commercially (adds ATB at HIT, Nova and KISS), and scoring support from BBC Radio 1 and triple j where the hit landed at #22 in the iconic Hottest 100. Hailed as one of the year’s best pop anthems, the single launched a new era for the Cairns-born, Brisbane-based artist whose growth and talent as a songwriter continued to bloom in follow up singles ‘Get Me So High’ and ‘Freckles’.

Earlier this year, Karydas played her new music to adoring fans on a seven stop tour in QLD. The tour marked her first run of headline shows since her debut album summerskin. Playing sold out dates across the state, her latest cuts sparked a big response, igniting huge crowd singalongs at every show.
Listen/Watch ‘Lemonade’ here and stay tuned for heaps more from Eves Karydas coming soon.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
