Have you always wanted to be a musician? When did you get the song writing bug?
Ever since I was extremely young, I used to go and watch artist`s live shows and knew right there and then that, that`s where I wanted to be doing when I was older. I`ve always loved live music and both the energy on stage and the energy that the audience gives in return and have always been mesmerised by different musician`s abilities to get up there and entertain people and have so much fun doing something that they love. I`ve been into song writing from a young age as well and have always loved the fact that you can find different ways to say what you need to say and send messages through music.

How would you describe your sound? Why do you think people resonate with your music?
I would describe my sound as a modern twist on traditional country music. I think that people mainly resonate with my music because I sort of offer something for everyone. I love getting up and doing some faster upbeat country rock but also know the importance of slowing it down.

Which artist’s music and/or performance, past or present, inspires you today?
Two artists that definitely inspire me from a song writing perspective are both Melody Moko and Morgan Wallen. I love the way that they both use words so well to tell a story and their songs relate to and touch peoples hearts.I’ve always been inspired by Brooks & Dunn and The Chicks (previously known as The Dixie Chicks) and the way that all and any of their songs make people want to get up and dance and actually enjoy the music as well as touching the heartstrings. I`ve always been really inspired by their ways of controlling the crowd and being able to get the audience so pumped up and into it.

Your new single/ has just been released/! Describe its origin and evolution.
At around 10/11 years old, I heard LeAnn Rimes version of “Blue” for the first time and was just absolutely blown away and mesmerised by the song and her voice. Then to find out that she was 13 when she first recorded the song, I decided right then and there that I was going to record it in the studio when I was 13. And that`s exactly what I did.

Is there an EP or Album on the drawing board?
Yes, definitely! I really hope to get some original songs released by the end of the year!

Any tours or events coming up soon? What are you looking forward to, and what can the fans expect?
I`m extremely excited for the Streaky Bay Rodeo in November, it`s going to be an awesome weekend of music and fun and I am really proud to say that I have teamed up with another writer to make a song in honour of the Streaky Bay Rodeo which I will be performing on the nig! I’m really excited for everyone to hear the song!

If you could perform with any music artist, Alive or Dead, who would you choose? And why?
If I could perform with any artist, I think that it would definitely have to be Brooks & Dunn. I absolutely LOVE their style of music and love the energy that they give off on stage. I think that it would be awesome being up there in front of one of their crowds and the adrenalin would definitely be real.

Do you have any long-term aspirations as a music artist?
My big goal is definitely to go on my own tour one day and to be able to go to Nashville for my music. I also really hope to get more into the rodeo scene because it’s what i’ve grown up with living on the farm in regional South Australia.

What is the best thing about performing to a live audience? What’s been the career highlight so far?
The best thing about performing to a live audience is definitely the fact that you have the power to tell a story, no matter what that story might be. Sometimes you will perform to an audience and get goosebumps down your spine because the energy in the room is just so powerful. You can’t beat the adrenalin rush of being up on stage in front of people doing something that you love. A career highlight for me has definitely been singing my new single “Blue” with country music legends Vaughan Jones & Andy Toombs on the recent 500 miles of music tour.

Finally, a few questions for some quick answers –
FAVOURITE:
Album – I am obsessed with Morgan Wallen`s “Dangerous” album at the moment.
Artist – Brooks & Dunn, Chris Stapleton
Movie – Would definitely have to be “8 seconds” or any of the Fast and Furious movies.
Place to visit – The farm and the river
Venue to play – I love playing at country pubs and in front bars, it`s so fun and laid back.
Food – Definitely my Papa`s roast.
Drink – ICE TEA!!!
Tattoo – (If you don’t have one, what would you get?)  Being 14, I obviously don’t have any tattoos yet haha but if I was to get one I would get a Texas Longhorn or a wild west inspired tattoo!
