Further to unveiling her highly-anticipated 8-track EP Be Right Back earlier this year, Jorja Smith has today returned with a stunning new single, “All Of This”, out via her own label, FAMM.
Produced by Grammy-nominated producer & DJ GuiltyBeatz, the track is Amapiano-inspired – a genre which Guilty is often known for including within his productions. A style of house music that emerged from South Africa in 2012, Amapiano is born out of a hybrid of deep house, jazz and lounge music characterised by synths, airy pads and wide and percussive bass lines. Jorja’s vocal is sombre throughout, which in turn juxtaposes the hypnotic mood of the production and with every listen, the sound continues to evolve; uplifting the listener each time.

“I met [Guilty] when I went over to Port Antonio in Jamaica for a writing camp in 2019. He’s so wonderful to work with and when we initially started the song, it was more a fall to the floor type beat. He’s shared Amapiano playlists with me before and then during the first lockdown in 2020, he sent me a version of the song like it is now. We then finished writing the song remotely, exchanging messages over WhatsApp with his girlfriend Abby who is also a writer”, Jorja says of the making of the record. “It’s all about someone who doesn’t deserve you and thinking wow, you really had all of me once, ew.”
In addition to releasing “All Of This”, Jorja will also be returning to the UK’s live circuit this summer, headlining both Boardmasters in Cornwall on 15th August and London festival, All Points East on Friday 27th August.
Released in May of this year, the Be Right Back collection marked Jorja’s first body of work since 2019’s critically-acclaimed, Mercury Prize-nominated debut album, Lost & Found, for which she won her second BRIT Award for ‘British Female Solo Artist’ and earned herself a nomination for ‘New Artist’ at the GRAMMY Awards. Arriving to its own critical acclaim, Be Right Back saw Jorja deliver some of the most emotive and imaginative work of her career, including singles such as “Bussdown” feat. Shaybo, “Gone” and breakthrough hit “Addicted”.

Over the past three years, Jorja has been celebrated unanimously across the world for her evocative song-writing, powerful delivery, pure emotion and unbridled talent as a young woman navigating her way through the world. Jorja has graced multiple magazine covers, performed at awards ceremonies and on late night TV, and sold out shows across the globe, now surpassing over one billion global streams. Her 2019 hit single “Be Honest” featuring Burna Boy has become her biggest song to date at almost 250 million streams worldwide.
As Jorja continues to hone her craft, “All Of This” serves as a much-anticipated prelude for the release of her second album expected next year.
